Week 13 is here which marks 3 months of me continuing this series on my blog, which seems like a long time thinking about it now. I hope you are all still enjoying these posts and if you are new I hope you enjoy it too.
Mixing both Lego and Batman together is like mixing together two things I love. In most cases this will usually end up ruining both but in this case it works together very well. Lego Batman has been so successful in face that it has seen two sequels and even a Lego Batman Movie, as well as many Batman Lego playsets as you can expect. Lego Batman: The Video Game is the one that started off one of Lego’s much loved franchises.
The game follows the adventures of Batman and Robin in the Lego form in the fun and charming way you can expect from the Lego games, breaking the fourth wall in a way involving aspects of Lego. The first Lego Batman still has the classic Lego charm without any voice acting. In fact the Lego Batman franchise was the first to involve voice acting in the sequel to this game.
We also get to see many of Batman’s much loved vehicles turned into Lego, making for some variety in the levels with new mechanics. Batman has an extensive arsenal of weaponry and vehicles at his disposal and being able to see this in Lego, with the added comedic effect, makes for an enjoyable experience.
Every Lego game has a hub that is used to navigate from level to level. Lego Batman: The Video Game actually has two in fact, the Batcave and Arkham Asylum. This gives you places to explore when you’re not in a level for both heroes and villains.
Fans of Batman know that there is a very long list of heroes and villains in the universe. Many of these are taken and transformed into Lego Minifigures that can be used to play through the freeplay levels. This list of characters is expanded on much further in later games, even spilling into other characters from the DC universe as a whole.
Lego Batman: The Videogame is one that I thoroughly enjoyed playing through and the sequels were very fun too. This game can be played on an emulator but be warned that it is illegal to do so if you do not own a copy of the game. Otherwise, the game is available on a variety of platforms for you to purchase and play it on,
That’s it for this week of Throwback Thursday Video Games. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed. If you did please do leave an upvote and follow me so that you don’t miss out on next week's post. If you have fond memories of this game or just have something to say, be sure to leave a comment. I try to respond to every comment that I can.

I've had this on my psp and now on my vita but still haven't played any lego games though, maybe when I have some time for some casual game or maybe let my daughter try this.

I played the vita version and found it worked very well as the handheld game. The prequels are a bit downsized though in handheld versions
