Hello everyone!

I'm FateSick - an independent game developer.

Recently, I wrote a post about how I quit working in a corporation for a new, happy life. And today I will show you the first results of my decision. Have a nice reading!

When you start a new life - it is not easy.

When you know that you cannot sit back and wait, because in the end the money will end - it's even harder.

However, you can count on the help of your wife and your friends who have respected your decision. Interestingly, several of them followed your lead. Feeling that corporate life is not for them, they decided to join forces together with you and create something new.

A new company.

A company that will never change into a slavery factory of code.

A company that values the good of the employee more than the charts and statistics.

A company that will always has a home atmosphere.

And finally, a company that uses the potential and skills of its employees. To avoid hard, monotonous work and to let everyone know that their hobbies can help the company grow.

It sounds like an unreal dream of a fool. But it's possible to do.

One day you are asked about what you can do well. Of course, not counting programming.

You start thinking.

You know English and Polish well enough, so it's easy to talk to a foreigner. Nobody says you're an expert and you know it well, but you've already translated various texts. The more formal ones too. The answer comes to you quickly - translation.

You talk about it to your friends from the company, and they start to understand your idea. It turns out that each of you knows these languages more or less. In addition, two people from the company have good relationships with larger companies that can look for translators.

It was a good choice.

After some time, you have your hands full of work.

Two proprietary projects of your company being created. One idea to be implemented on the side to have extra earnings. And three translations that you all do in your free time.

The dream of owning a fully independent company is fulfilling.

And from the corporation in which most of you worked, more people are leaving. And they join you. With new ideas, skills and new contacts in the industry.

You're smiling. One decision, and changed the lives of many people for the better.

It's 16 May. Year 2018.

Your first translation is coming to light. Of course in the official distribution.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap - you've played it before. When you were a small child. You don't remember the name of the console, but it was probably something from the Sega family. And now, after thirty years, a refreshed version of this game comes out.

Memories come back. And you rejoice like this old kid, that you contribute to the development of the game.

A new update with your translation appears on Steam. You immediately inform the whole world about it - you quickly create a new topic on a forum, you put a quick note on a Discord server, and then you create a post on Steemit.

Because you want everyone to know that you've set your first step on the new land.
