Haven't done a decanter in quite awhile so here is one. This is an old silver decanter. It's a simple fill the top, pour out the spout decanter. Almost like a tea pot but taller and a shorter spout. Top is big enough to get ice cubes in for mixed drinks and it screws on to prevent any over spill while pouring. There are a couple of small air holes somewhere but can't see them in the photo. The spout also has a screw on cap so it can be used outdoors and not get bugs in it. I'm not sure if the whole thing is silver or just the handle. You can see the handle is tarnished where the rest isn't. It could be stainless with a silver handle. Could also be silver plated with a protective clear coat. This decanter is definitely over 50 years old.
