Here's a strange item from back in the 70s. From the front it looks like an ordinary counter top mirror with some scenery on it. It's actually a music box. On the back is a winder for the music box. But it's also more than just an ordinary music box. On the front is a bit white seagull. It's bigger than the ones painted on the mirror surface. When the music plays the seagull "flies" around. The flight is actually caused by a magnet hidden behind the mirror. The bird also has a small magnet in it. As the music plays the magnet moves behind the mirror taking the seagull with it. Unfortunately the magnet has lost it's strength over the years and while the bird will stick to the mirror it doesn't have enough strength to stay on it if tries to move. Had to lay it down to get it to work.
