Piracy, Sailing the sea of reverse engineering

The statistics are similar on pretty much all piracy. It doesn't actually seem to negatively effect the economy. Though perhaps it's good that it's difficult. Though perhaps it might be good to make it a larger fee for distributing pirated software with viruses, and just a slap on the wrist for those that facilitate piracy like Pirate Bay or thousands of others every day. Hell, even Google does. Just because someone's poor doesn't mean they should have to have spyware and viruses though. Same thing when they don't know any better than to use public torrents.

Just because someone doesn't have the money to buy some movies or music or software doesn't mean that they should go to jail just because they want to have a life with those things. Same thing with the people that aren't so poor and still decide to pirate things, so they don't spend that money on things they don't really need.

And I don't think think someone should spent time in a cold little dark room with a cot jjust because they ran a server that helps people pirate. That's horrible.
