The Nigerian society is full of diverse people with different personalities. Not to talk about a Nigerian school where a lot of young students are still forging their futures. To fully live comfortably in a Nigerian school, you need to know the type of people you’re probably going to have to meet so you can live peacefully.
The sets of Nigerian students can be grouped into sections as students like to do a lot of copying and contesting. These are the sets of people you will meet;
The Slay Queens :These set of people are the girls or should I say ladies who like to be the big girls. They always dress flambouyantly as that’s their selling point. They compete for the attention of guys by improving their appearances. Their heads are mostly empty… beauties without brains. They had this initial gra gra (pride) when a guy tries to talk to them at first and some are as easy as killing a mosquito.
The Cultists : These sets of people are the guys who belong to secret groups. Most of them are gentle while some brag about their strengths and rigidity. They readily go about campus looking for new intakes. They watch for guys who seem a bit tough or rough.
The Yahoo boys : These are the set of boys who earn their living and sponsor themselves with money gotten from online scamming. They are expensive guys and they spend extravagantly. They go around with the “slay queens” on campus.
The Scripture Union students : These sets of students are the ones who dress boring and dry. Their sense of humour is mostly almost dead. They go about preaching and going about with a straight face. They do not rapport much with other students and some of them are judgemental to other students who do not go to church. Needless to say, some of them are hypocrites and might have the so called sinful premarital sex if they get the chance to.
The Musicians : These sets of people lurk in public places and play the instruments they know. They attract people who can sing and dance. These set of people attract the ladies also and they will surely have a lot of students lining up for training and lots of ladies lining up at their door for You-Know-What
The bookworms : These guys do not get the last positions. They are nerds and some times they are also stylish. They might play with all other students for a long time and everyone thinks they do not get time to study but when test results and exam results are released, they always top.
The borrowers : These sets will go from room to room to borrowing and asking for anything they need. Onions, bread, beans, rice, books, biro or anything they need. Some girls might even go to the extent of borrowing clothes from their friends.
Studying in a Nigerian university is fun and at the same time tasking. You need to be able to maintain calm while relating with different people with different traits.
