Sobering Moment of the Week

I've been going through a rough emotional time in the last couple of days so on the way home from buying food last night I decided to stop into a bar I'd never been to and have a single beer. It was what I expected for the most part - solitude with some entertaining people watching. Being from New Orleans, I really enjoy looking at people and saying, "What the fuck?" and last night was no different.

There were a group of women sitting close enough to me that I could hear their conversations and being drunk, they thought they were being quiet enough that I couldn't hear what they were saying.

Before I continue, this isn't the first time I've heard something like this and maybe it's because I grew up in a beauty salon and women just tend to think I'm one of the girls, or they think I'm gay and don't care, or maybe it's because all the martial arts training I've done in my life, people just don't notice me. Whatever the reason, this was a sobering moment.

A woman that had not been with the three sitting close to me came up with a sense of urgency to tell the other women, "Christine is in the parking lot blowing this guy and he invited us to go back to his place to do some coke. You guys wanna go?" They agreed and within five minutes, they were gone.

I mean I can be pretty gross too. I've drank open dark beer that had been sitting out for over six hours just so I wouldn't waste it, my clean clothes and dirty clothes are two piles on the floor separated by one foot of carpet space, I'll let dogs lick my nostrils, but WOW!

Sitting there by myself I remembered I'm Libertarian and want drugs and prostitution legalized and really don't care what the hell you do as long as I don't have to pay for it but couldn't help thinking, I've never heard a man say anything like that. - "Hey guys, Jim is going down on this dirty broad in the parking lot that he just met and she invited us all back to her place to do drugs so she can try and fuck us too."

True, there's a double standard to an extent but I have to ask the guys, "If the dirtiest place in the world is in some bar whore's mouth, why would you let her put her mouth on you? You do realize doing that is just as risky as having sex without a condom, don't you?"
