You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

I was considering talking a spare tub of fluoride free toothpaste to thier house so they get the message but not sure that I want to get into a heated debate with them when I know they won't listen to or read anything I have to say or provide on the subject.
It should be their instead of thier.
