State Bank of India (SBI) has said on its official Twitter handle- that the debit card holders should follow good card practices and enjoy easy electronic transactions. These debit card practices fall under consumer protection. Debit card is a payment card that dedicates direct money to different types of needs from a consumer's account. These debit cards are made of plastic. If you have these cards, you do not have to keep the cash. These cards are fair for payment almost everywhere.
Unlike credit card, the user does not have to pay any kind of EMI or interest in debit card. SBI has come up with many forms of ATM-cum-Debit Card as per the customer's requirements. The country's largest lender is presently offering various cards of Platinum International Debit Card, State Bank Gift Card, State Bank Pride Card, State Bank First Step and First Flight Photo Debit Card (only for Minors), sbiNTOUCH tap and go Debit card and contact letter card etc.
Here are 5 tips for safe use of debit cards:
Users should regularly monitor the use of debit cards.
SBI has said that in order to verify the amount, the user will have to check the SMS after each transaction.
After receiving the money from the ATM, the receipt received should be well destroyed.
Never share details of your card and card with others.
- Users should keep in mind that debit cards usually have a range of daily purchases. This means that it is not possible for users to make big purchases especially with debit cards.
