Ibotta| Earning Cash Backs + Getting My First Cash Back Gift Card

So it's been way over a month since I downloaded the app enabling me to earn cash backs from our grocery trips. It's due for a write up I believe as I planned to blog about it after a month, after I reach the threshhold or once I received my cash back money.

My first earned cash back after installing the app.

Before I learned about Ibotta, I had already installed another cash back earning app which I haven't used since most of the offers aren't the products we need or buy.

Downloading Ibotta app was reccomended by my brother. I said I will but I didn't download it not until I saw its Facebook advert and I was invited as well by my sister- in law's mom. So finally I did.

Using the app is easy but for those who will feel they would appreciate a walk through the app, or a proof that Ibotta is indeed an app that let users earn cash backs, then this Steemit post is for you along with screenshot for an easy to follow steps.

1. Go to ibotta app. You can browse the stores in the app or just type the store to search and browse products. Browse All from the store of your choice or by categories on top. Click on a product that you are interested on buying and check on the pink colored plus sign. Some items will require you to finish watching a short video ad before you can add an item on your My Offers product list. The product below is from Walmart store as that's where we mostly do some of our grocery shopping.

2. You can view the items from My Offers by choosing the store.
   

3. Go on and do your grocery shopping and get the items. Of course on the store where you just did that product checking from Ibotta.

As for us, we did go to Walmart. Bananas, bread, paper towels and bathroom tissues and sometimes cheese are often the items I check on Ibotta's Walmart product list.

1. Continue with checking out. Save your receipt as you'll need to scan that for your cash back.

2. Go to ibotta app. Choose REDEEM and choose the store.
   
   Click on REDEEM and choose your store.

3. Click on Continue to scan the barcode from your receipt to get cash backs.
   
   This will appear on your screen after clicking on REDEEM. Click on CONTINUE to scan the bar code.

4. After successfully scanning the receipt's bar code, a confirmation of offers will show up.
   
   Verify purchases and get cash backs. This is from our previous grocery shopping.

5. You get your cash back. And yes, the cash back from here and from above are different as the above was just from a recent grocery trip while below was a screenshot of my very first receipt cash back from December 2017.*
   

6. Your cash will accumulate as you continue using Ibotta on your grocery trip. Get your money once you reach the threshold of $20.
   
   WITHRAW CASH button is now clickable as I already reached the payment threshold.

7. Choosing to withraw, you can either choose to get the money on your Paypal account. Or by choosing a gift card. I chose receiving a Walmart gift card and I was expecting it will be mailed in my address. But turned out it's an e-gift card. That's perfectly fine though. It says I can use it either in the store or on walmart website.

I must add you'll go through some verification steps. I have to verify my phone number - And typed back the code I received through sms. And happened that I forgot my password when prompted for it and I haven't confirmed my ibotta account yet when I downloaded the app, so I had just confirmed my account as well. With my forgotten password, I logged out from the app. And had it reset.

Verification steps.

1. What did I choose? Walmart e-gift card worth $25. I still have $2.50 balance left in my Ibotta earnings.

With the $25 Walmart gift card, it means savings. $25 groceries from cash backs which took us 1 month and 3 weeks before reaching over $25 ibotta earnings.
