My proposal to start a Steemit forum for those of us over 65 who are starting life anew.

I am 66 years old and have been a conceptualist and inventor most of my life. Currently I am preparing to market a new BBQ product that potentially will revolutionize how BBQ grilling is done. It's called the Turbo Grill. An Indiegogo crowd funding site will be launched next month.

While working on this project , for the last year, and reflecting on where I've been and where I want to go, at my age, I started a document to myself I called 'Life Reset :: At 66 Can I Do It Again?'.

Out of the blue I ran across a Ted Talk by another senior that has also started a new venture after retiring from the corporate world. His name is Paul Tasner. He inspired me a lot. He started a group on Facebook titled 70 over 70. I joined and wrote the following review:

Paul,

I just watched your Ted Talk and it seems to have come to me at a timely moment in my own life. 2 days before I began writing a document to myself that I titled. 'Life Reset :: At 66 Can I Do It Again?'.

I turned 66 just a few weeks ago and for some time now I’ve been reviewing where I’ve been and where I want to go. I’ve been a lot of places and done a lot of things. Some good and some bad but always what I wanted to do (or so I thought).

Since a very young age I have been a non-conformist and, as I've recently come to understand, a multi-potentialite. I've always been a bit of a visionary and have designed and made so many different things I cannot begin to list them all. My biggest break was when I invented the first cutter for a large desktop plotter that became the first commercially viable vinyl sign cutting machine in 1986. It revolutionized our visual environment and kicked off the industry we have today.

The ideas and prototypes have never ceased since; although none as revolutionary . As I turned 60 I began to reflect on my life and what I wanted to do from then on. I have adjusted my major psychosis and health related issues. I have returned to Germany, the place of my birth and have begun designs and prototypes of some new products that I am preparing to introduce.

I also feel that I am at a prime time in my development to accomplish a few more great things once again. Your Ted Talk is the first example of someone at my age with the same thoughts. I am even more inspired. I want to be involved in your efforts as I believe that there are many of us with wise solutions that the world so desperately needs right now.

Thanks
Mike Momany

So, now on Steemit and in the spirit of my good buddy @luzcypher and his @Openmic and the Steem Growth Forum I just listened to I am proposing a group for over 60 entrepreneurs. I would like to reach out to @Aggroed, @promo-steem and any others that might have an interest in such a group; I could use some help in setting it up and naming it. There is limited representation of Senior entrepreneurs on Steemit and there is much wisdom to be garnered from my comrades. Remember Steemit is a great new technology that has evolved from the computer technologies of my lifetime. So I might be able to help you understand how it got there.

'Recent research in the United States from the MetLife foundation documents that 34 million boomers want to start their own businesses. The Kauffman Foundation and the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) show that, contrary to the traditional perception that entrepreneurship is a young person’s endeavor, seniors are the most entrepreneurial age group. According to GEM data, seniors own businesses at a higher rate than any other demographic cohort.' Referenced here..

BTW, I am being interviewed for a forthcoming book by Sharon Sultan-Cutler entitled 'Your NEW YOU After 65'. Sharon's last book is called Bandstand Diaries is about the early days of American Bandstand.

Long Live Steemit Entrepreneurs!
