PRIDE & PREJUDICE

in blog •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello my dear steemians. Today is Sunday, a day for rest and some light literature ... Looking at the internet, I accidentally came up with some interesting information. On this day. January 28, 1813 romantic novel Pride and Prejudice, written by the famous English writer Jane Austin, was for the first time printed.

This time I will not talk about this novel. I assume that most of the women population read this work several times.
The interesting fact is that even after 200 years, this love story lives in our hearts.
Pride and Prejudice has engendered numerous adaptations.

Some of the notable film versions include that of 1940, starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier (based in part on Helen Jerome's 1936 stage adaptation) and that of 2005, starring Keira Knightley (an Oscar-nominated performance) and Matthew Macfadyen.
Notable television versions include two by the BBC: a 1980 version starring Elizabeth Garvie and David Rintoul and the popular 1995 version, starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.

Real fillings remain till the end of our lives, in our hearts, in our memories or in our dreams... This novel will survive hundreds of years because it is close to our lives...

I loved this post! upvoted & following!

My favorite "P&P" by far was the one with Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen. She was the best Lizzie. It's one of my all-time favorite books.

It's funny that it was first printed on Jan. 28 because that's about the same time that I started posting my funny, modern "Pride & Prejudice" retelling series on my Steemit blog! I would love it if you read the first post sometime & please tell me your honest thoughts. It's here.
