Jollibee? Think Filipino version of McDonald's or Burger King - But Tasty!(or How Jollibee has been steadily growing and profiting)

Filipinos are absolutely passionate about Jollibee.

Source

It is more than a fast food franchise. It is a combination of Western Style family restaurant, status symbol, and Filipino pride.

Source

To be honest, I don't eat that much fast food.

But when I do, it's usually Jollibee's Chicken Joy and/or "Champ" burgers - incredibly yummy!

Source

And the following articles attest to both the success of Jollibee through the years and the brand loyalty among Filipinos abroad.

Full Disclosure:

I have owned Jollibee stock for over twenty years.

Source

Last time I checked, I've made over a 675% profit - mainly because I forgot I bought it! Lol!

Jollibee - Increasing Global Market Share

Source

"Can Jollibee take a bite out of the global fast-food market?"

LOS ANGELES/MANILA -- Lavinia Caratay's family has a dining ritual every weekend that is rooted in memories of her youth.

"I've always loved Jollibee," Caratay, 46, told the Nikkei Asian Review in late June after ordering a Yumburger for her 11-year-old daughter and Chickenjoy for her 10-year-old son.

Source

While the Caratays wait for their food, other Filipinos begin to queue up at a cashier counter manned by their compatriots to pick from a menu that includes a hamburger topped with a juicy slab of pineapple, spaghetti topped with a sweet sauce and chopped hot dogs, and palabok, a noodle dish with shrimp sauce.

Jollibee - Empire Building

Source

"How Jollibee's founder is building a fast-food empire"

MANILA -- When Jollibee decided to shift from ice cream to hamburgers in the late 1970s, founder Tony Tan Caktiong and wife Grace did their homework. The couple sampled as many different burgers as they could find in Manila to get a taste of what was being offered on the market.

As Jollibee chairman, Tan does the same sort of surveying today, only on a much wider stage.

In recent years, the man behind the Philippines' most popular fast-food chain has spent most of his time overseas, sampling everything from dim sum to tacos as he seeks to realize his dream of transforming Jollibee into a global restaurant empire.

Great post, i live in the philippines and jollibee is like filipino pride, the term jollibee is said to be from jolly and bee meaning the workers there are always happy and work fast. I personally dont perfer jollibee over other fast food but its a good fast food restaurant. I would like to hear your opinion besides the one stated in the post :"To be honest, I don't eat that much fast food.

But when I do, it's usually Jollibee's Chicken Joy and/or "Champ" burgers - incredibly yummy!"

Growing up in America, McD's and pizzas in the Philippines are a disappointment for me.

Fortunately, my normal daily nutrition doesn't include those items.

Thank you for visiting and commenting.

Namaste, JaiChai

Yeah i heard that america's fast food chains are much better

My favorite in Jollibee is their “spicy fried chicken” 🌶 😋

Great job here

Thank you.
