"Everything is love, or a CALL for love." - A Course In Miracles
Yesterday I was told of a news report saying that a 13-year-old British boy has "died in hospital of CV19, with no previous history of illness..." and that furthermore, "the virus is so contagious that his heartbroken parents had to let him die alone."
NO. NO. No. No. NO.
I don't know who I'm talking to when I write this, but it has to be said...
THIS MADNESS HAS TO STOP.
IT'S HYSTERIA. IT'S IRRATIONAL. IT'S INSUFFERABLE, UNSUPPORTABLE AND STUPID.
Isolation, when chosen and/or consciously embraced can be a truly transformational experience. I get that. I'm DOING that.
Some of us choose to die unaccompanied, and I understand that urge as well. Death is a rite of passage, just like birth, and as sentient beings, we have the right to determine how we wish to traverse it.
But allowing frightened, desperately vulnerable children to die alone, feeling themselves to be "too sick" for the loving, compassionate warmth and kindness of human (parental!) contact? Being SO AFRAID of your own child that - with all our human resourcefulness - you can't find ANY WAY to allow them to pass in the loving embrace of your arms, nor even sit by their side, holding their hand and offering them your presence and comfort?
NO. THIS IS NOT OK, OK? No parent and no child should be placed in such a black-and-white, life-or-death situation. There were options, of that I am very sure, because there are ALWAYS options.
EVEN IF this story has been misreported or distorted (like so much in the media), it is not OK that this type of image is being planted in the collective psyche as 'part of the new normal' or an 'unavoidable tragedy'. It's not OK to use this child's death, or his parents distress, as propaganda for the hysteria that is currently engulfing common sense; for the love-less, blind-panic fear that is the greatest threat to our planet and its population at this moment.
It's never been OK to subject children to the effects of our irrational fear. It's not OK to do so now. And it never, EVER will be.
We need to learn this, as a collective, right here, right now.
Whatever else can be said of humanity, we have the capacity for courage, for defiance in the face of tyranny, and for LOVE.
And before you think or say it, I am not judging, attacking or condemning anyone. I am URGING A PAUSE FOR REFLECTION. Urging a CALL TO LOVE. A call to COMMON SENSE, if you will.
And I get that the notion of having your loved one die in the comfort of your arms is another 'privileged people' problem by comparison to the horrors endured by so many of our brothers and sisters around the world. But THIS - LOVE and RIGHT ACTION - is the cure for that, don't you see that? We are All One Thing!
So whatever else you do, and regardless of whoever tries to stop you, LOVE LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. And if anyone or anything stands in your way, love them the hell out of it.
In that simple act, of loving in the face of tyranny - whether it's internal or external - you play a part in setting humanity free and creating a new paradigm of loving freedom...
And so it is.
With love,
Jay
