Nobody wants to talk about his/her own weaknessess. It seems that we all want to talk about our strenghts and capabilitiess. In fact when it comes our weakness and limitations, we make the most effort to hide it. Why? Because we hate our shortcomings. However, few people know that there is beauty in one's imperfections and limitations.

First, our weaknessess teach us to be HUMBLE.
As humans, we always tend to rely on our own strenght and might to the point of forgetting about humility. And that's exactly the role of our weaknessess. We will not be needing help from God and from people if we are all sufficient. Our limitations tells us that we are not the strongest, the greatest, nor all sufficient. Therefore teachings us to be humble. Those who are humble are not those who feel inferior but those who know their limitations and weaknessess but choose to use them to develop their character. God gave us limitations for us to be humble.

Second, our weaknessess reveals the strength of the Almighty GOD.
In the Bible, a young man named David victorously fought a giant named Goliath. David's limitations such as being young, short, a shepherd (not even a soldier) showed all the people that it is the power of God that made him a victor. In our weaknessess, we see God's help, protection and provision. Therefore allowing God's power to be revealed to us and through us. As Apostle Paul said, "for where I am weak, there I am strong."

Thirdly, our weaknessess develops maturity in us.
We grow as we learn to rely on God as well on others. Thinking that we dont need anyone means we lack maturity. So our limitations is a reminder that we need others. Also, these weaknessess lead us to know ourselves better. And to accept ourselves in a much deeper way. Maturity most of the time comes painfully. And accepting our weaknessess in one way of developing maturity in us.

Start thanking God for your limitations. It is for a purpose. It is for God's glory.
