Again, well said & written. The trope of the tortured writer, driven by the quest for perfection, needs to die. There's a lot of beautifully written stuff out there that (IMHO) indicates a writer who's spent too much time messing about with sentence structure, grammar and style but ignored plot, pace and all the good stuff that makes reading fun.
