I had to take a small break from this series yesterday to report on a scam I found through my Facebook friends.
Music Culture of Protest
Year of Trump
As we pass a full year of Trump's presidency, many have joined together to protest the 45th president. These protests have garnered hundreds of thousands accross the nation but also millions across the world. From these protests, a wave of creative artists has given birth to new ways to express their resentment.
Some of this artwork was grotesque like Kathy Griffin's art of Trump's beheadment. Others are more comical such as the giant inflatable chicken placed in Washington. Even musicians began to chip in their protest of the president. YG and Nipsey Hustle made a song called Fuck Donald Trump, Kendrick Lamar mentions the increased hatred in DNA, and Eminimem rapped on The Storm.
=========== Nazi Anti-Nazi Protest ===========
Neo-Nazi and Nazi content is strictly forbiden in Germany; Mein Kampf is illegal to own and regalia is strictly forbiden for private use. Their strict laws make the punk scene have joking sieg heils. Allowing Neo-Nazi's to protest would be completely uncalled for... unless it is for the right cause.
In Wunsiedel, Germany, Neo-Nazis have shown a strong growth in popularity and the town leaderhsip needed to act fast and cleverly. Cleverly they did. They permitted Nazi's to protest against the conditions that the proceeds would go towards anti-nazi causes. For every protestor to show up, 10 Euros would go towards Nazi exit programs.
=========== SteemIt Witness Forrum ===========
On January 20th, @aggroed hosted a panel of serveral witnesses including top 20 witnesses in order to discuss an array of topics ranging from node size to reward pool hoarding. The panel included @jesta, @roelandp, @good-karma, @someguy123, @anyx, @lukestokes, @themarkeymark, and others. The whole ordeal lasted a little over two hours and can be found at DTube published by @aggroed himself.
~~~~~~~~~ @BuildAWhale Curation~~~~~~~
@bethalea has been recruiting me for months to join @BuildAWhale's curation team and I've mostly put it on the back burner but I decided I will include a section of these blogs dedicated towards providing a handful of posts submitted to @BuildAWhale for upvoting. Without further adieu, I present you BuildAWhale Curation:
I love reading success stories on steemit because it really shows how important this platform is for people around the globe. This is no more true for @incrediblesnow as he writes in How Steemit Changed my Fate and Life?. In it, he gets a little personal and ready to share his journey from making little money to being able to replace his income with steemit and support his family. Here is an excerpt from his story.
After I discovered Steemit was turning my family's economic condition, I have try my best to spread words for Steemit to my closest people, which was my family members. Currently, my brother and sister were following my lead to blog and curate!
One of the few but valuable posts I find on steemit is ingredients. I think this platform was built for the at-home master chefs that would like to exhibit their talents and earn money doing so. That's why it was wonderful to find @amanardis recipe post that looks excellently formatted to show signs of a professional blogger. Her cake roll shown in Plasmando a @Cervantes en un Pastel - Post original de @Amanardis para Steemit. shows Spanish pride and delicious treats.
Sometimes steemit really surprises you with the random things you will find on it. @anonteamph00001 is a prime example of this with his post, House Design #23. He writes about real estate and features a unique small house available that I think @bulleth would love to have the gang house as... depending on the price.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant, that's why we let Nazis march here, so they can be shown for the losers they are.
Thanks! I try to make a blog with 3 topics: current events, random, and steemit related. Not the exact format every time but always 3 topics.
