I've been using Crypto Ledger CL Card for a while. And recently I was trying to make a transaction over the phone but it got rejected and the transaction was showing as "Pending" for a while. I contacted the support and it took days for the transaction to become "Declined".
I asked why the transaction was rejected in the first place, and here is the response:
Kindly note that transactions above $500 fall outside our risk appetite if they are conducted without 3D Secure (3DS) authentication.
3D Secure is an added layer of security for online card transactions, aiming to reduce fraud. Unfortunately, as a measure to prevent fraudulent activity, we cannot support high-value online payments that lack this crucial authentication step. The $500 threshold is set to protect our users and ensure their transactions are secure.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and recommend reaching out to the merchant to enable 3DS authentication for future transactions. This will help facilitate smoother and more secure payments going forward.
