After spending most of the day on the Internet, well, mostly on Steemit, I have discovered something that really made my day. Turns out that today (tomorrow for some of you) August 10th is Lazy People Day. And??? Why am I happy?
I'm a genius!
Well, the good news is that being lazy is actually a sign of intelligence. While it might look like you're lying on the couch doing nothing, the truth is you're deep in thoughts. All those active people around you have nothing to think about so they get bored easily so they need to do stuff. (This is the main idea in a recent study published in the Journal of Health Psychology, see link below, I'm too lazy to explain more.) I hope you understand now that being recognized as a very smart person is reason enough to be happy!Blogging is for lazy people
You have no reason to feel sorry for yourselves. Being on Steemit, you all are bloggers, one of the jobs most suited to....you've got it, lazy smart people! It's right here on this list of jobs recommended for people that identify as not very active! I've taken the liberty of crossing out those I find too stressful.
- Proffesional Cuddler (yes, that's a real job!)
- Video Game Tester (my son has a great career waiting for him)
- Blogger (yes, you on Steemit)
- TV Extra (I'd make a great 'woman drinking gin at the bar')
Trucker(crazy)Dog Walker(see below)- Critic (oh, I'm good at that)
- Photographer (not quite sure)
Translator(you kidding? that's hard work)- House Sitter (now, that's a good job!)
- Pet Sitter (maybe fish, I could take care of fish)
- Security Guard (only night watch, please)
Think you're lazy? See if you can compare with this guy?
Luckily I don't have a dog. Or a car.
Speaking of dogs, how about this effort-saving ball-throwing device?
This dog-entertaining thingy comes with a price - $139.99 for the smallest model.
I don't know about you guys, but I am going to celebrate Lazy People Day at the pool. No, the water is not very deep so I don't actually need to swim.
Stay safe! Stay in bed!
