Amazon Electric Bean Stalk v. Heroku for Python Hosting?

in blog •  7 years ago

Hey everyone made a test site and got videos displaying using forms and htmls in the django app I made. Now hoping to get the test site deployed so I have all of that figured out so I can more easily deploy the final site in the next few days.

I am thinking of using either Heroku or Amazon Electric Beanstalk, unless yall know of any other freemium deals? Do you have recommendations for python hosting?

May look at alternatives as well, but I figure for as long as its free use the free version and then maybe switch to the best deal once I have some scale and users

Thinking of maybe having ads on the website maybe for the tshirts or affiliate marketing. Would people hate non intrustive ads or what would you think? Still plugging along, I think I will meet the self imposed March deadline what do you think?

Heroku. Its very easy to use. I have to say that ive not tried amazon for this.
Yes people will dislike ads of course but probably many people using ad blockers today will not see them anyway.

yea some good ideas, heroku seems nice, just have to figure out a few last things for deploying django and getting it all working with bitbucket

I'd say go with the ads, if people aren't interested, they can ignore them. What affiliate products are you thinking of? Guitar/music related?

yea thinking guitar related maybe guitars or something,

Jamplay has a good affiliate program, worth checking out
