MY POSITION.....
I am not overly concerned about the slide, to be honest. ( not too ecstatic, either)
I forget the name of the blue grass band, but the title of the album was ' I was born with nothing, and still have most of it'
(or something close to that).
That's me and crypto.
I haven't put a cent into it, so anything is profit.
I joined steemit to try and make some extra money, and stayed because I found a new outlet to tell my truths, insights and 'stuff' in general. And met some nice people along the way..
I enjoy dong it, for it's own sake, not for the money. (say's me - who invariably tracks the price once an hour if I'm on the computer).
Back to the crypto slide....(does anybody else find it strange that 'crypto' comes up as a misspell on the word correct, thingy?)
I see this long slide downwards of crypto markets as really having two possibilities.
Firstly, that it has been a financial operation run by the powers that be right from the beginning, to bring crypto into the consciousness of the cattle, to make it easier to introduce to everyone as a cashless system for the future.
If this is the case, the extraction of value from the crypto market, is merely the winding down of the markets, to be reinflated again using other crypto's - and a big transfer of wealth to the rich.
(I will leave the political, and ideological aspects aside)
OR.... all crypto's (well not all, but you know what I mean) are heading for much higher value. Much, much higher.
This decline in price merely being the big money squeezing out the small people through devaluing and selling off.
To maximize their own profits later - as the really big money then comes into the market.
As the bond and stock markets collapse (is facebook the black swan event...?), money will have to go somewhere - and cypto is the possibly the only place to go (as well as precious metals. Real metals, not paper owned ones)
I put nothing past the big money.
By that I mean the banks, and by extension their employees - the national governments.
I also hope (optimism based on diddly squat) that crypto is the break needed - of the stranglehold of the centralized banking system.
The banking system that has been to the detriment of the whole planet, that has given capitalism a bad name, and has allowed communism in through the back door - to insinuate itself into peoples psyche as a 'real' thing.
(communism is fundamentally nothing more than human, ego bor ne concept, of controlling others by force- very similar to the current system we have, actually. Like I say, back door communism).
Oops, I was trying to stay away from politics....
I hope crypto will be the future of a decentralized monetary system, and one that will bring in a new era of prosperity - one not seen before.... (pre industrial revolution cannot be included, as there was very little wealth for the general population).
I hope so too - I've never lost so much money as I have in the past three months.
The fact that so few people on Steemit are discussing whether cryptos are all a big zionist plan to establish a one world currency probably worries me more than anything.
I don't know, but that is the usual plan, and I'm getting very suspicious as to why so many people on Steemit keep saying crap like Bitcoin is the future (Bitcoin is a dog of a crypto).

The one thing that makes me think this way, is the fact of resources and history.
If they have all the resources they need, (and they devolved computing), it doesn't seem too paranoid a jump, to think they are controlling the crypto, does it?

I don't doubt they are controlling at least some of it , but I'm also wondering what their level of control on Steemit is - the fact that barely anyone is saying that is starting to make me disturbed :)

....like whales up voting their selves continuously- thus keeping the money and taking the profits...kind of thing? lolol
Nothing can be done if true, so don't stress it...

I'm more thinking people in positions of power with agendas like promote Bitcon or get people all hyped about leaving dodgy Steemit and getting into EOS.
Or make sure there are CIA shills in positions of control and data collection in both Steemit and any new competing platform

fuck 'em.
drown them in avalanches of information until their brains explode, or the electricity fries the servers.
....the time to be wary of the enemy is 100 years ago.
...beating them with information and truth is the only way/chance we have now - and to make sure we don't go to a more horrible stage....

When I started seeing all the cubicle farm comments on youtub that I previously just thought were all retarded people, it gave me renewed hope - if they are desperate enough to pay tens of thousands of people to comment on you tub they must be REALLY desperate.
Youtub comments used to be "this suks u fagot" but now they are "this brave artist is assisting me to transition"

In the early 1990's most people didn't even know the internet even existed let alone how it would revolutionize the world. Governments didn't even worry about taxing internet transactions because it wasn't worth their time. When big money realized the potential, the internet blew up and changed the face of commerce. At the height of the US money crisis in 2008, someone introduce a new workable idea of internet money. For years most people didn't even know it existed. It was too small for governments to even worry about (sound familiar). Recently people have started to adopt this new way to interact especially financially. Governments and big money have realized their lock on money and control has a serious threat. Big money is about to flood into to crypto currencies and blockchain technologies t6o capitalize on the new way business is done just like Amazon back in the 1990's. Sovereign government fiat currencies could become obsolete. Obviously governments will fight their control over money to the death, literally. I believe the genie is out of the bottle and our governments will end up settling for the regulations and taxes they can get by with. This will be a long and painful battle. In the end, legitimate blockchain companies are the future, and a small investment now in the right cryptocurrencies will leave you competitive with the banks in the future.

I hope you are correct, mate.
but as an example of my wariness...
There was no crisis (except in the perception of the general public). This was an event known for decades. It's a mathematical reality.
I can't believe 'we' are now seeing it for the first time (thanks internet), but the real big money powers since 1913- didn't know about it...???
I find this impossible to believe.
This is nothing new for 'them'. Debt based finance is designed to implode.
I fail to see how that they are not clever enough to know this...?
And if this is not new to them, they have had the time and the resources etc, to find alternatives...
