Steemit personlized clothing...?

My clothing website is being revamped. ....Revamped? Or destroyed?..... Destroyed.
Why?
My polo shirt (primarily), and T-shirt business has been declining the last 2 or 3 years, to the point of being of no commercial use or value.
There are various reasons for this, but mostly due to my lack of attention - and interest - in it.

Other things in life have taken over in priority, and so I no longer enjoy it as I once did.
I don't like to do things I don't enjoy...

That being said - I/we are thinking of selling some personalized T-shirts and other apparel local goods, here on steemit, just playing around with the idea...

(T-shirt designs and so forth. And personalized prints for customers.. )
Let's get crypto!

....Here are some of my thoughts after a couple of decades of doing different business's....(small scale)

If you are ever planning to have your own project, be flexible and adapt.

Knowing what I want, and what other people want is not the same thing - to think otherwise is just an ego driven car going at warp speed careering over a cliff..

What you want is not always what the customer wants, and learn to recognize the difference.
Never let your own perceived needs in a product overshadow the wants of your customers.
Get things done, and test the waters. Listen.

Never let your focus be diverted from the task at hand.
Letting distraction in, is letting your focus out.

Be your own taskmaster, and never feel sorry for yourself.
Write everything down.
It helps you clear your mind, and keeps a track of your tasks.
If you are all over the place in your head, how can you be anywhere else in your life?
You need to write everything down.

I don't mean the dreams of where your empire is going, that's mere distraction and procrastination.
Specific jobs of the day, the week and the month, is the key.
Always baby steps, never leaps.

Don't dwell on little achievements. Acknowledge them, be satisfied with your progress, then move on – quickly.
Anything less is a narcissistic ego trip for the small minded.

It is an empire we want to see, not a local province. Stay focused.

As Rudyard Kipling said in the poem 'if' '...if you can dream, but not let dreams be your master'

Your business empire doesn't come from the big picture dream of 'changing the world'.

It comes from changing the world one brick (or byte), at a time.

Being overwhelmed by your project is a reflection of your dreams being the master of your reality.

Byte by byte, nothing is overwhelming.

This is the path of hard work and commitment, to getting a real return on the investment of your time.
Working for yourself makes you a prisoner far more than having a 9-5 job and being employed.

If you are not working 3 times harder for yourself than if employed, you are only playing at working for yourself.
Don't play to it, commit. 110%

If creating your new business is not your purpose in life you will be passed by other's.

Others for who their business IS their purpose in life.
The joy that your own business can bring is not a playground for the weak of spirit.

Know thyself.

Never think you are the only one with your business idea. You are not.
It is those who implements the ideas first that gets first advantage. Lead, not follow.

Being the first will dissuade your potential competitors, weeding out those who lack conviction, or are scared of defeat.
Never rest on the laurels of your history, you are dreaming.

Your historical victories in life mean nothing. Your business is tomorrow.
Move on...

My response to this post, is pretty much my response to the T-shirt at top.
Keep talking.

The things i want to do are rather large. (the people i tell my ideas to, say they are impossible)
The things i can do don't really interest me.

So, really don't know how to break out.

The things i can do don't really interest me.

that's my problem too! 😂 (and it is a problem!)

My departed Dad, the wisest of souls - said to me a few years back "You will never be rich, you do know that?"

"Why?" I replied - (having just completed a website that cracked a mathematical anomaly on other websites - that made profit's - riches await!)

"Well," He said " You've learned how to to do that now (the website anomaly)- your interest will go now.
You are only interested in what you can't - do, not what you can,"

He knew me better than I did at the time...

I hope that cryptos will keep me comfortable while I work on these other things.

You have raised some important points. Always listen to the customers. Remember they are the reason for your business. It is a pity that you did not make the right move early to save the business. Could you please tell me about selling personal item on steemit. I would appreciate this. Thanks. Awaiting your kind response.

My business faded away - I had other things to concentrate on,(and other business's)., so no regrets.

We live in SE Asia, and there are lots of possibilities.
LIke I say, just passing ideas around - but we like to design edgy T- shirts for people - and maybe steemit itself..?

Hahaha I like what that shirt says. It's like grumpy the cat saying to Dementors that they will starve. 😂

I also don't like to do things I don't enjoy. That means no forcing myself to make art or write a blog or do anything I don't feel like doing unless it needs to be done. Dishes or the house won't clean themselves so I better get a cleaner in again soon.

Those business tips are good too. Perfect reminders to everyone.
