I'm going to Florida!
Next Wednesday. It's a big family holiday. My first two-week break in a long time.
And now I hear there's some kind of deadly storm happening over there? Some sort of crazed biblical-themed hurricane?
Does anybody know how long these things last? I read that it should pass by Monday but they can't tell for sure.
I don't mean to be flippant. I understand how bad this storm actually is, but I'm from England. The worst we get is heavy rain and a bit of a gust here and there. I just don't know how these things work over in the States.
PROJECT DAN
I've just started to read @kobur's draft of PROJECT DAN (we're co-authoring two novels at the same time) and it's so good.
The pacing is right, the characters are there, and I'm just about to get to the big violent bit. I'm buzzing!
The next step is to read through and make some notes and then do my own draft, building on what @kobur has laid down already.
Also, we've been playing with some cover designs for one of the projects. Here's a sneak peek:
What I'm reading: London: The Biography and Deeper Than The Grave.
What I'm watching: Some old UFC fights on Youtube.
What I'm listening to: This MASSIVE writing playlist

A new story idea every single day.

IDEA 129: The Night Bus.
There's a series of night buses in London that scoop up the drunk, the weird, and the crazy, and drop them off all over the city during throughout the early morning hours.
If you've ever been on a night bus you know how weird they can be.
So a drama then, a full story told as a runaway child gets on the night bus, and is planning to stay on until its last stop. The child meets various weirdos and drunkards throughout the night who offer him surreal bits of information and wisdom.
Profits made from this blog will go right into my ramen fund. Any more will go right into any future storytelling projects.
Oo oo ... go grab a free book!
So sorry to hear. Nothing could be worse when you wait all year and now something like this happens."There are no excuses, you need to leave," Florida Governor Rick Scott warned everyone in evacuation zones. That quote was from the BBC weather today but you need to check with your tour operator and change your holiday to somewhere safe or get your money back

Ah thanks @ianstrat! Yeah I think we're in touch with the tour operators so we'll see what we can do :).
