Spring is still underway...
Summer is coming...
and the birds have been out in full force!
I have been outside lately taking some new nature photos
here in the beautiful scenic
state of Maine, USA.
The birds are always a fun challenge to try and photograph, as they move so darn fast! I try to sit as quiet as possible and wait for them to come around...
This momma bird has a nest somewhere near my Dad's place... and stopped in for a few moments. I was able to snap a few quick pics!
It looks like it was out collecting things for the nest...
She flew away pretty quickly... but she was still a pretty sight!
I also noticed a tiny humming bird sitting way up in the trees.
My longer lens was able to see it...

I love to capture photos of the humming birds while they are sitting in trees...

There are some blackbirds nesting somewhere in our garden. I managed to snap a photo of one with some bugs too. They are so fast when they are in a hurry to feed the little ones. Awesome catch :)

Sunshine, these are amazing shots.
Up until this point, I had not seen birds that resemble these & they're beautiful.
I'm happy to share your space with you, if I lived in such a beautiful area, I'd be in awe of the creatures that inhabit it as well.

I have to say that is one thing for sure I miss about living up in the northeast. There where always plenty of birds. For some reason down here in FL they are few and far between.

Greta shots I am too hyper to sit stil for long enough to get photos of birds hence why you seldom see photos of birds from me

My best bird shots are silhouettes of them flying away...
Either I don't have enough birds here (can't be, judging from all the singing birds..) or they don't like me! And not having a tele-photographic lens can be a lil limiting... ;) My favourite trick, is zoom in as tight as I can.... then crop in post editing - looks impressive and I don't tell everyone! :D
