Reflections on a Monday morning...

in blog •  7 years ago

When I was a child, my mother told a story about a rich man who has everything... and his friend who has enough money to live by. They've lived the standards of life they were supposed to have, the rich man dealing with his business, and the friend who works hard for his family. But in anyway he can, he helps the community. He is known to be the'connector' of everyone. And people love him, and he changes the World.

Then a big chaos happened. It's a big hurricane in the village, the businessman ask his friend to come with him for them to be safe. He insists on helping the people.

When the storm faded, all the houses were gone. The businessman doesn't have anything. While the other guy, he has everything: the friends he acquired all those years.

@bearone I can the that guy to you. You didn't look on the money, when you can. You made a community that can now thrive on his own. People who are now family. You made them stand on their own, and be kind to each other.

Remember that in every storm and chaos, you have us here. The family you acquired while everyone is busy looking for gold.

Thank you for all that you do. And I hope your daughter will get better soon!

I will tell my daughter that story @marypineda . I don't really know what to say. I am really moved by your words and I am just happy we have a Family here on Steemit that we can all depend on for support and help.

This isnt my doing. This is all of our doing. I'm just grateful to be a part of it because if I wasn't I wouldn't have met you Mary - and I am very glad I have.

Thank you so much 💗
