How Did We Get Here?

This is one of those topics I I prefer to rather not get into, but I think we have gotten to a point now of way beyond what is acceptable or moral. Just to get you up to speed as to why this story is making headline right now was because a new abortion bill was proposed to update some of the current laws on the books in the state of Virginia. Under current law, in order for a patient to terminate a pregnancy in the third trimester, three doctors must certify that continuing the pregnancy would affect the mother's mental or physical health. The new bill would reduce the number of doctors from 3 to one, and remove the 24 hour waiting period as well as that the procedure must happen in a hospital. Things got more questionable during a committee hearing when democrat Kathy Tran was questioned if the new bill would technically allow abortion until the point of birth, if a doctor agreed it was necessary, due to either mental or physical health. The question ask by republican Todd Gilbert was “How late in the third trimester could a physician perform an abortion if he indicated it would impair the mental health of the woman?” “Where it’s obvious that a woman is about to give birth, She’s dilating." Tran's answer was “My bill would allow that,”. The governor of Virginia, democrat Ralph Northam who is also a physician, commented on this specific question asked to Tran, his response was “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”.

This is now a discussion regarding what to do with a baby that has already been born, it's not longer a fetus or a clump of cells. If the reason to now go ahead and end the life of a infant after is has been born is the mental health of the mother, what mental anguish could be so devastating that killing a infant is the lessor of two evils?

What I would also like to touch on is, this is not just some fringed extremists point of view within the democratic party like AOC, governor Northam is considered a moderate. The thing is that the DNC have been pushing this specific issue for quite some time now, and statistically this very out of touch with their own voting base and about 90% of the American population. Most people do not consider late term abortion a pressing issues especially not something to be celebrated, even the majority of people who are pro abortion, only take that position when it within the first 3 months. The democratic party does not even realize that Trump will probably win the election just because of this single issue. Either its the mean orange man bad, who can't shut up on twitter, or it the party that is and has been publicly advocating for the death of babies after they are born. Who in their right mind is okay with this kind of thing, because we are here now and there are laws being passed, this is now becoming legal, the question is, are you pro-life or are you pro-this?
