We all have vices which one do you want to get rid of?
Well I've been smoking cigarettes for about 16 years and believe me when I say I wanna quit. I know quitting has a lot to do with my own will power but man is it hard. I tried to quit about four years ago and it only lasted 2 months before I was at the gas station buying a pack. I know that I'm not gonna smoke forever but I sure would love to just snap my fingers and be able to get rid of this nasty habit. I remember a time when I thought all women who smoked were disgusting. No it doesn't bother me at all. But I know that they are very bad for you. Every year I always say that this will be my last year smoking and it never stops. I've been thinking lately that I should use the patch or maybe even the nicotine gum. All I know is that I will eventually kill off this habit I just don't know when I will be able to do so. We all have our vices so what's yours?
Let me know in the comment section what you would do!!!!

I eventually stopped smoking after more than 15 years. First I forbid myself from smoking in the car. After about a couple of weeks of doing that, I couldn't stand the smell of smoke in any car so I tried the same strategy at other places. Soon enough the smell of smoke anywhere indoors would make me sick. The result was that I was smoking 1/3 of what I used to. At this point, I decided to go for the kill. I changed my lifestyle, tried to eat better and workout. Three months later I stopped smoking for good. Hope that helped you a little.

That's what vaping is for. I smoked for almost 20 years, bought a vape, smoked and vaped for a couple of weeks until I ran out of smokes, then forced myself to only vape for 1 month. After that, I had a smoke and hated it. I knew I'd never be tempted by smokes again.
Patches and gum only scratch one itch when it comes to the addiction to smoking. Nicotine is only a small part of the addiction. That's why patches and gum have something like an 80% failure rate.
Another problem is that too many people see quitting smoking as an all-or-nothing exercise. One slip-up and people think "Fuck it, I'm back to smoking!" Try thinking of every unsmoked cigarette as a victory. If you smoke 19 instead of your normal 20, it's a victory, not proof that you can't quit.
For my vice, I wish I had better self-control when it comes to weed. If I have it, I smoke it. Since it's legal here, I always have it. It's hurting my productivity.

My bad habit happens not to be smoking but it's this vice of always being distracted with most things I do especially during school. Not always focused and I don't know how I got hold of such habits in the tertiary institution, because I could remember back then in high school I was this bookworm kinda guy who cuts off all sorts of distraction and always striving for the best.
Seconds turns to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to month and months to years and the new year revolution has always been that I'd make a change but yet still stick to my bad ways.
Hey! Nobody's past perfect
I need more of an advice to this
Thanks for sharing ✌️
I've got no regrets following you

Man I've been down the same road. It is definitely a mental thing as the nicotine leave your body after 7 days. I think the rapper Logic hada song about cigs and if you look at what he has gone through with anxiety I think it is directly related to him quitting. Stay strong dude!!!

I quit smoking cold turkey. I smoked at least 10 per day, but when I'd socialize... throwing back red wine, I could smoke an entire pact of 20.
I loved drinking and smoking: one of life's pleasures. However, when I'd walk up hills, I would huff and puff and I knew it was because of cigarettes. I knew I was doing my lungs so much harm, but still didn't stop.
But then I experienced the worse hangover of my life ever ...partying too hard... a night of excess. I reached that point where I said, no more. I am a healthy woman and here I am, smoking my lungs out as they'd smoke pork to make bacon, etc. LOL!
I looked ahead of my long journey here on Earth and how I want to be in the future...fit and healthy. I began to think of my heart and lungs as the engine of my body. Do you put coke/soap/junk in your car engine and expect it to run. Of course not!
So I quit smoking and drinking for 5 years and during that time, I stopped hanging out with friends that also indulged in my vices. And you know what I discovered, instead of bars, nightclubs, I discovered a talent to paint. That was Friday 5 years ago.
Okay so I started drinking when I went on holiday last year, and have been tempted to smoke but thought naa...not again.
You too can quit cold turkey. Just find your personal reason to do so.

Do I have to choose just one? The first thing would be to quit smoking. I hate it and everything about it. Ive tried and tried to quit but all the negativity in my house makes me go back every single time. To quit smoking cigarettes is way harder than when I quit using drugs. Some days I don't crave one at all and I am always so thankful for those days. They don't come around often but it is a reminder that I can do it. I would also be tempted to snap my fingers and make certain people go away. Toxic people who are no good for me has always been a bad habit. Maybe I would use my snapping ability to get rid of them because the stress would be gone and the smoking would cease!
