Story of my life
So last year around this time I was in search of a vehicle. Now I'm definitely no mechanic and don't know to much about cars. So I was cruising facebook ads and I came across a Buick Lacrosse for a super low price. First red flag I ignored.
So I messaged the guy and set up a meeting for the next morning. Like the retard I am I went over there alone. Second mistake on my part. When I got their the car had one flat tire but was in overall good looking condition. I hopped in and turned it on checked the gears and everything seemed fine.
So I paid the guy he signed the title and I left in a hurry to the local DMV office. I regostered and insured the car and called my best friend @thenoreshow to show off. He came with me to pick up the car.
We got there and he was pretty impressed. We drove it across the street to get some air in the tire. By then the car had been running for about 10 minutes. All of a sudden my boy noticed a knocking noise. Yes you guessed correct. If you know anything about cars you would know about the knock of death which usually means you need a new engine.
At that very moment I new that I was screwed and had been scammed. They drowned the engine in thick oil to mask the knock but eventually the noise came to the surface.
At the time I wanted to shrink down in a hole forever. My old Honda Accord had a blown transmission and I needed a vehicle to get back and forth to work. Luckily I have good friends and my best friend got me into a vehicle real quick. HaHa the car I still drive today!!!!

Firstly, it depends on my pocket if at the time i had enough i would buy another vehicle as its not just for show off, but then if i know the guys hood, i would storm there and ask for a refund. Thats fair the vehicle is not even up to a week its bad business. Am happy for you @mrviquez you had good friends around.

Thats really the disadvantage of buying a car without the help of a specialist..... But am glad your friends showed up strong, if i was the one, i dont even know what I would have done

I don't understand how there are people who take advantage of other people?? I think something unique happened to you, I imagine that now if you are very alert to the signs, many times I have been cheated, I have a kitchen that I have paid about 3 times and is not ready yet! In every scam I got angry and cried, until I decided to leave everything in God's hands and to be much more alert when it came to negotiating, as far as cars are concerned, I always seek help from my friends, because being a woman, with three words they confuse everything! I hope you can forget that bitter drink.
