Very interesting and useful reflections are in this article. I'd like to add one more of the reasons why so many people prefer to stay apart and just see an incident. It is what I'd call the "TV spectator effect". Many people watch too much TV and there they see many accidents, crimes, etc. and perhaps the get used to just see and enjoy seeing the process going on. So, while an injured is lying on the street (What about a coke and some pop corns and wait to see what comes next?) It's sad but television makes more harm than most of us imagine. thanks for this important information.
