Milestones on Steemit.

Just like in life, here on Steemit we have certain milestones.

I know that to the whales they might not seem like much but the feeling when you manage to get your first 100 followers is huge. Then 500, 1000 and all the way to the top of the food chain. Similarly we judge accounts by their reputation and steem power.

In life we have first birthdays, 18th, 21st, graduations and weddings. All massively important milestones, at different stages of our lives. And all occasions to be celebrated.

So which is the most important?

I suppose it depends on your perspectives at each stage. At the time I would say that they are all the most important. When you are 17 there is nothing more important than the next birthday and being legal for certain things.
When you have done 5 years of hard work in college, receiving that degree to show what you have accomplished is the biggest goal.

So what is the biggest milestone on Steemit?

Depends on where you are in life. For me the first one was getting my vote up to a cent. Then I was trying to get 100 followers. After that I wanted to hit 500SP and get the vote slider. Those were all massive achievements for myself and ones that I managed after a lot of work and effort. Now that I have made it past the beginner goals it will be 500 followers and 1000SP.

I want to grow as much as possible on the site while reaching out to as many interested people as I can.

With 500 followers on the horizon I think that a little competition is in order to celebrate it. Maybe a little 5 SBD prize for the winner. We will see soon enough.

A few weeks ago I made a post about this. I reached 15 in SP and I finally 'paid off my debt' to steem. Now I'm over 400 followers and I'm posting almost daily to keep growing.

My next milestone is to reach 100 SP and to have more than 500 real followers. Many followers are bots and people that become inactive quickly, so I think they don't really count.

I want also want to create around three good posts every week and be rewarded at least 15 SBD for each post.

Another big milestone for me is to be on the top of @steempunknet and @steemnova. Both games are in development and are not paying much yet, but I think that in a couple of months they will be giving huge payouts. Right now I'm level 7 on SteemPunkNet and in position 93 out of 375 on SteemNova.

Ahh also a big milestone that I recently achieved is reaching 50 points in reputation. That felt good.

I think that you are going about it the right way anyway. For those of us who cant buy thousands of steem we will have to put in the hard graft to be successful.
You have clear goals set out, comment and interact with your followers and post regularly. On top of that you are involved at the start of two exciting projects on steem. At this rate i think you will be aiming for a thousand sp by the end of the summer at least. 500sp takes the most effort to reach after that it really speeds up.

Thank you for your kind words! I will keep working hard to achieve those goals.

wow . you have put my words in this article. I mean I have exactly the similar goals . I am eagerly waiting to unlock 100 sp and 500 followers. how many days you took to reach your first milestone sir ? :)

The start was the slowest part. It took me about 5 months to get 300sp and about 200 followers. I wasn't that active and didn't know anybody on the site to start with so it was very slow going. I was just learning everything as i went along by myself.
In the last couple of months I am know pushing 1000sp and almost at 500 followers so it does take a lot of effort to get started but gets much easier as you grow and gain more followers.

Fair play @niallon11 The milestones are great to hit. My next two targets are 100SP and 1000 followers.. I find it a lot harder to grow my SP than gain followers, but having a lot of followers should be good in the long run... It's been a great journey for me so far..
