The City of Lansing holds an event once a year called "Be A Tourist In Your Town" as a way to introduce the citizens to local attractions and businesses. This years event was yesterday and as an employee at Lansing Community College, I was on the schedule to be a tour guide for our production facilities.
I took some pictures of the folks checking out our equipment and having fun with the green screen. I hope you like seeing them!
This is the 24th annual event of this type, Pretty cool!
The Production Facilities are in the basement, we got stuck in the dungeon...
we have our own T.V. Station!
We started showing them the control room...
Then we took them to the studio where we had a Chrom Key set up (Green Screen)
Put them in pictures all over the world!
We had some older cameras we let them play with.
Sometimes it got a little hectic!
But overall everyone had a good time.
Of course they took a lot of pictures!
Down the hall we had a stop motion lab for them to play with.
Overall it was a pretty cool day. A lot of the people told us we had the coolest stop in the whole city! Now that is a complimant huh!

Hi. I think it's a great idea. Many times the natives of a city or country prefer to be tourists outside our sector. And this is a good way to get the attention of our people to know us better.
