Foodie at the movies

Good afternoon dear Steemians!

Time for a new blog post from me to tell you what I've been up to.

Well for starters, I still have a cold, so I'm still low on energy and a bit fuzzy in the head. My throat aches a bit, but that's mostly during the evening and night.

This cold did not prevent us from going to the movie yesterday though! I was very eager to see the latest Maze Runner movie, so even though I was a bit tired, we went. Not like watching a movie takes a lot of energy, right?

We were quite early and this time, we picked out some snacks to take with us, since we wouldn't be having sushi lunch. We did go in the morning though, because it means less of a crowd. This is what it looked like when we arrived:

In the end, there were a couple of other people showing up before the movie started, but it was still quite empty.

My boyfriend had had a tough time picking the snack he wanted. It was an issue of too much choice! He eventually opted for peanut and hazelnut m&m's, which he was sure he'd regret quickly. How in the world would you know if you had just put a peanut in your mouth or a hazelnut?

Oh the luxury problems.

About halfway into the movie, I started feeling really crappy. I had to close my eyes for most of the rest of the movie and put my fingers in my ears from time to time to keep myself from getting nauseous. I was so sad, because I was very much looking forward to this movie! It's not even like I had eaten that much of my m&m's! Even my cola bottle was mostly still full...

The movie itself was great and I atleast heard all of it and saw the slower parts. There was plenty of action and suspense and there were some sad parts aswell. I also learned to appreciate the Brenda character more in this movie.

I really loved the Maze Runner trilogy and am sad to know it's over now. I read up on it online and there's not going to be a fourth movie, unless they start covering the prequel books. Part of me wished they would have hopped onto the trend of splitting the finale up into two parts, but the director didn't want to do that and we'll just have to respect that!

After the movie, we drove back home and I went to rest on the couch for a while. I felt better after that and we played some Ark. Well, my boyfriend played Ark and I checked my crypto balances. It's not pretty right now, is it? But let's just say there's a sale on coins, shall we?

I've been keeping myself busy today, but I'll talk about that later. I just got a surprise visit from our little nephew and to be completely honest with you, I'm a bit tired after that! So I'll go check what coins I want to buy today and then I'll be logging off again.
