While still waiting to hear back from the youth health care organisation, I applied for another job.
I've visited the youth health care place twice now. First for an interview and then for a trial day. The people seem nice and the work seems like it'll fit my abilities. There is the open office concept though, and the working on friday thing. And the having to go to the office for one meeting on a working-from-home day. And the strict scheduling.
Last monday, I saw a job advertised to manage three applications. Two I didn't know yet, but one of those is about forms and I have a ton of experience with complex forms and workflows. The third is an application I've managed for a few years now and it is quite a logical one, so I like it. It's easy to work with. It's in the same city as the other one and I can still carpool with hubby. I got excited and I applied right away! To be honest, this one seems like the better choice with the information I have at hand right now.
Problem though! I'm already quite far along into the first application! Luckily, they didn't call me back yet. Neither did the new ones halfway through the week. Understandable, ofcourse, but I'm a little stuck! So I called their HR department on thursday, explaining how I'm a little stuck with the timeframe and also, telling them I'm okay with working a few more hours than what I mentioned in my letter (I'm really excited about this one). She told me I might not hear back for another week or more, because next week is vacation! But she'd mention it to the person hiring and maybe he would call me back before that.
He did call me yesterday. He found my CV and motivation to be interesting enough for a first interview and with me being stressed for time, he scheduled us in for a meeting next tuesday!
So... yeah! I have another job interview on tuesday and I'm very excited about it! So far, this sounds like the better option and I hope the interview goes well. I don't like disappointing people, but I have to choose the best fit for me, so I have to try this. Growing in self-care and all that.
Wish me luck! (again)
