How I quit my JOB and become FULL TIME Steemit BLOGGER

in blog •  7 years ago

I have quit last week my job. I was technically a driver, as a part-time employee, but I had a pretty high salary, I co-owned the company and we had an arrangement with my partner, so it was going well.

Last week I quit my job, because although I like traveling, it just became too burdensome, especially since I got married recently and I want to spend more time with my wife. I still co-own the company though.

Well what better way there is to earn money than to work from home? Although the title is a bit misleading, on Steemit I don't quite earn a lot, but supplementing that with my income from trading, and it's a pretty nice income.

It can be a dream coming true, and if it worked for me then it can work for anyone else, especially for 3rd worlders, I am earning nicely from here, and I am not even a good blogger. Well if you are from a 3rd world country, you can be an even worse blogger than me, and earn a little bit less, because that is still good income for your country's levels.

So basically anyone can earn a full time salary here, just from blogging. Isn't that wonderful how many options the free market provides?

Let's see:

X1.png

So only from Steemit it would be a gross 1300 EUR / month, minus the Government Theft of course, so I would be left with like half of this. Which is nice, but I need more money than that.

So I complement this with my altcoin trading, which is better, but less reliable so I might only withdraw once every 2-3 months, but given my calculations it's a stable income, just less liquid.

So I can survive on 3000 EUR/month, net income, given that even my wife earns very well, so it's no problem.

I can just work from home, and spend more time with my wife, who is on vacation now, and if I buy her the place where she works she will have to work even less, perhaps she might join Steemit too, who knows.

The point is that it's just this easy to work from home and earn a stable income, especially for people who live in poorer countries.

You have generated a great discussion here.
i'm glad you find steemit helpful in generating an income to replace your job; I do so hope as well, and we shall see.

Sounds like you got it pretty much all figured out my man. It's great to see some good looking stats like that. I have been compiling my stats just recently, but I was suprisied on how well I was doing. And for me I was already doing much of the reading and commenting on articles, but now I get paid. I hope that your journey to financial freedom is a good and smooth road for you my friend. I know that I am not there yet, but if we continue to work hard and think outside of societies box we will be successful for sure! Cheers 🍻

Congrats for the success.

For the majority of us it will only happen after a long time, or with luck. My content for example isn't even noticed. And because it isn't noticed I don't get up votes and because I don't get up votes I don't get reputation. But it might be that if I don't run out of ideas, I might be in a similar situation in a year. But with this success it will take me about 10 000 posts (just guessing). A bit over 300 so far.

You just joined 1 month ago, it will take more time than that, but eventually it will be noticed, just keep working.

I was in those same shoes when I joined. Lucky for me, I stumbled on the @minnowsupport project while I was on steemit.chat, just a few days after I signed up. I joined, and boy did it help me kickstart my blog! Check it out, you won't regret it. Good luck.

I have the sane thoughts and concerns. 😂

That's cool man! followed and upvoted..I'll keep up with your journey...much success!

Your idea of generating any useful $$ from day trading is a bad idea. Your idea of trying to earn a living from Steemit and content creation could work - bravo to you for having courage to try.

Day trading is a fools errand. Don't be a fool !!

STEEM On !!

Dave

I didn't said I am day trading. I am investing in 1-2 month long timeframes, that is why the cashflow is smaller there, so I can only cashout once in every 2-3 months. But the monthly income is good.

I call that "day trading".

Investing is a 5 year horizon minimum.

But each to their own, hope it works for ya

STEEM On !!

Dave

Money is shuffled around quickly here. It's a very liquit market, I would not be surprized if you can make money weekly here, but definitely monthly.

Keep shinning!

This is inspiring. I'm from the third world. With that kind of stack (3k a month), id be earning more than my boss's boss.

And even that is nothing, people like @sweetsssj and @rea and @dollarvigilante are making 1000-2000$ /day.

So only sky is the limit. I wish you good luck too!

Success leaves clues. I follow them all. Thanks. Just learning from the best.

This blog mentions @sweetsssj as an example, and how she worked hard. It's a really good blog. sweetsssj responds in a comment and her reply is very interesting. And @walkingkeys is great. They're both worth a follow.

Uhhhh..... OK,
Yes, I'll do it.
Sign me up please.

Me too

Congrats! It really takes a lot of courage to go full time on Steemit. This is really cool!

Upvoted following you now! Congrats being a full time steemian!

Thanks, as said, most doesnt come from Steemit, but from trading, but it's still good.

You're so cool , Congrats! I'm envy you. Inca good sense of the word. :)

No need to envy, anyone can do it, I am a bad blogger, people here make 2000$/day, compared to that I am nothing.

But I make a lot from trading altcoins so that suplements my income.

well mate, I wish you all the best, I hope it works out, I would love to do the same, but I work from home most of the time anyway, would just rather be blogging than doing what I do :)

Will follow you, resteem you and maybe a little something something else to help you on your way.

Yes every upvote and resteem makes a difference, for others too!

Very cool. Full 100% upvote on that. Wish you much success :-)
Resteemed :-)

Well maybe, I can learn a few things from you. Due to illness most of what I do has to be done laying down, sitting long periods of time is impossible. I've had to alter everything I do and even energy levels is scarce. I have much to learn about all this new level of currency, so any tips on how to work here will be greatly appreciated. Working and learning are lifelong goals for me no matter what.

3000 a month! wow. dude right now i've surviving on a lot less, i realise you have bills and outgoings, housing and all sorts no doubt. i'd be happy with maybe 500/1000 - but aside from that you bring up a brilliant point - steemit is the new basic income route, it's here, it's working, it's blockchain and open powered and it's a real life possibility - we are all becoming our own brand advocates of our own potential --- and that's exciting as hell! :)

Share this with Mark Zuckerberg - "Steemit is the new basic income DUDE! Live with it!"

erm, nope.

Yes I need about 3000 EUR/month net income, to live comfortably, my bills are moderate, and I don't really spend a lot, but it's nice to have financial security, like taking out my wife to a restaurant once a week or once every 2 weeks.

Or just like saving up for a car or things like that. I would not like to sell my crypto stuff just to buy a car.

I would just save up slowly. I want to buy a Mercedes it would cost like 30,000. But my recent wedding and the upcoming honeymoon cost me a lot.

So it's good to recover that money and make some more.

So yes 3000/month for me is be good for me to live a comfotable live. My wife also earns almost like that so we live a comfortable middle class lifestyle.

I wish success to everyone so that they can live like this as well!

i don't want to live any kind of 'class' life. but do you i guess, bye!

Well I think peope need as much as they feel comfortable with living with. I could spend more but I actually use my capital to help out crypto projects, so in this sense I am investing in the future, and therefore helping people.

Congratulations and success in this new endeavor!

Keep us up to date, I would love to know how this works out for you. Following, check me out and follow if you like!

Good luck to you

Welcome Bother, we all are in the same game.
I dont even have a job in the first place until i was lucky to find steemit through @jerrybanfield i will always be greatfull to him because unknowingly to him he gave my life a meaning.

Wow.. Happy for u bro steem in... Steemit first supercars blogger said hello

The average guy living in a 3rd world country cant live on steemit because the costs are so high. I spend at least $30 a month on data. About a $200 on power every month. Running a steemit account full time could make my power bills double to $400 or $500. Thats a middle class salary in a 3rd world country. Add other living expenses and you would barely break even. Im able to spend lots of time online because i have online jobs i run. Assuming I made $200 monthly from steemit or even $300, it would barely cover my internet and power expenses. In addition to paying for state owned power, I also run alternative energy. Majority of internet access in 3rd world country is from mobile phones. Steemit isnt very mobile friendly.

247 data would cost me about $100 dollars a month. 247 power would cost at least $200 dollars a month. Thats way above the poverty line. The guys living on $10 or less cant afford to spend that much.

Great to here of such success. I hope that your successes continue. I'm sure that there are many people with the same dreams. Keep working hard and the rewards will come!

Yes that is absolutely true, just keep working here and eventually success will come.

I love seeing people fully adopt these technologies into their lives. Its history and a beautiful sight to see. The best of luck to you on your trip through the blockchain(:

How lucky you are. I am struggling with my financial stagnancy and looking for some part time work and just blogging in Steemit and enjoying.

Im just here so I wont get fined.

Wow man, that's pretty awesome! Where do you normally transfer the coins back into USDs/Euros, if you don't mind me asking?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Wow thats nice earning...ours blog go unnoticed...not sure will touch the same. It wont come so easily for people like me...need to work little hard.

Good news. Steem on !
By the way there is only ONE world we share.

Yes it's getting more fairer nowadays , but there are still poeple who livei n 3rd world conditions, like no water , no electricity.....

But it's getting better

Kudos for your success. You're in the right place. Keep steeming full speed ahead.

I plan to do this to if I would earn more money here than my job right now. I just had a baby and I want to spend more time with him as well. and I think working from home would best fit for me.

That's amazing. Good luck and keep up the great work.

Good point on the 3rd world countries. I'm new to Steemit, but live in the USA so will need to make more of course but getting excited. Thanks for sharing. Going to follow you now.

Thanks, you have a lot of interesting stuff there too, followed.

pleasure is mine dear you people are our inspiration all we should followed you

Congrats on being able to spend more time with your new bride.

Congrats! I hope to be a full-time steemit blogger as well, and of course, I don't need to earn that much to survive here due to the currency exchange.

Sweet. I'm right behind you!

Amazing you can do this :) Hat off to you, It's not easy getting people to look at your blogs.

I dream of the day I get away from Babylon.

Yes, for third world and developing world people this could be significant. I'm aiming for UKP 1,000 pm, and I live in a big city, but that would be enough to live on.

My one concern is as people lose their passwords...could dent their enthusiasm.

Well done, though!

Yeah 100 US$ a month would make a significant difference for millions of people.

I heard that in London the rent is like 2000 GBP/month. That's insane.

But the countryside in the UK would be pretty cheap in my opinion.

My one concern is as people lose their passwords...could dent their enthusiasm.

Well they should keep backups.

Same here ! :-) keep on !

CongrTs on taking the next step. Dont forget to supplement vitamine d when you are inside so much now 😆

Best wishes

Congratulation! no risk no fun ! stay with steam power! 💪🏻

This is impressive! Making over Euro$1000 each month just from Steemit is like a dream to me, and you said you achieve this with just one month, I wonder how much time each day you spent to get this handsome return. What kind of content do you is most popular and can generate most value?

An interesting read and makes me wonder perhaps if I work on my presence on here it may be a good option to supplement pension when I retire in a few years

Awesome I look forward to seeing more posts by you around, resteemed this!

Congrats dude...in sure your decision is good just because more time with family is important. Keep doing what you're doing

You are really a great inspiration dear. People will love to be here and motivated by you.

Good decision... it seems you are the profitgenerator..:) Thanks for sharing this. and all the best for your marriage life....

Congrats, and love the plan @profitgenerator. You put in hard work to get to where you are now, and this will enable you to level up. Hope I'll be in the same position in the future. Just joined, so I still have to earn my stripes.

Enjoy your blogging!

Well done amazing news

congrats and good luck! In some ways i'm in the same boat as wanting to earn off blogging on Steemit and trading. So Will be seeing how you get on! :D

Haha. When I saw your title, I was determined to comment, "Don't quit your job!" Yeah. It was misleading. COngratulations, btw!

After reading your blog you just dont give hope and motivation but life to keep going..thanks a lot that I found your post

Good for you! At the current rate i think in 10 years i might be at the same point as you are now :) ... keep it going...

Congratz on not afraid to quit your job to pursue a life of more freedom!

It's not big deal really, I can re-hire myself anytime, I am co-owner there. It's just that job was getting boring and like this better.

wow, I'm actually on the same path as you and I don't hold a full-time job. Rather than actually simply trading and writing blogs on Steemit, I'm actually investing in p2p lending, doing airbnb and short term room rentals, and of course trading.

It's tough to manage everything all at the same time since they all require constant attention and energy. But honestly, that beats having a full-time job.

While I may not be generating as much as the previous job that I had, it does give me a sense of personal satisfaction. It's always better to be building your own project than someone else's.

My 2 cents worth of opinion. I would definitely love to know more about your strategies and investment ideas.

this is awesome thanks for sharing!

Congrats on giving up the day job! I'm hoping to get to the same position in a year. It's great to know it can be done, thanks for the motivation!

LIving the dream! I'm doing the same bro. Holding cbx, thc, and proc. Hoping for the best! Stay blessed!
