Valentines Day, meh ... so some of you will have a day of canoodling and blissful bouts of PDA. Flowers, chocolates, and newly bought unmentionables. Some of us will have a day of ENDURING the watching of your canoodling and blissful bouts of PDA. The flowers will float past us in the arms of some forced Romeo intended for another demanding and expectant Juliet. Our chocolates will be bought the next day ... half-off. The unmentionables will be plain cotton and remain unseen.

Yes, even Hermione Granger has to admit being 'self-partnered' on February 14th can make the likes of say ... Voldemort ... start to look good. He does have a powerful wand, and if things don't work out, you can have revenge relations with his pal Bizarro Dr. Who.
(Any David Tennant fans in the blogosphere?)
But back to Voldemort ... a perplexing bit. His voice. He should sound less snake charmer and more Snuffleupagus. He has no nose after all. A super villain with the sniffles. It could work.

Well , wherever you are and whoever you are with ... or not with ... I am wishing you a "Happy Hold On Until St. Patrick's Day". Pat, the Haloed and Blitzed One, drove the snakes out of Ireland. Maybe he can do the same for your love life. Not to mention, wine and whiskey are the aphrodisiacs that flowers and chocolate could never be.
Perhaps the coming Spring will coax the reluctant, lovelorn, and broken-hearted to bloom with the trees and take the chance on another fall.
Here's hoping.
