North Gate of Miletus in South Agora
M.S II. century was built during the reign of Emperor Hadrian. When Justinian fortified Milet's defense in 538, the door was placed on the walls. It was discovered in 1903 by the German archaeologist Theodor Wiegand and brought to Berlin. As can be understood from the color difference, many parts are not original. That's why he was exposed to criticism. Structure; 30 meters wide, 16 meters high and 5 meters deep.
Trajaneum Hall
Miletus is opposite the Agora Gate. It is the highest terrace of the acropolis, which was built for the Roman Emperor Trajan. The temple was built by Hadrian for his predecessor, Trajan. However, it is understood that these two emperors were worshiped. Because the heads of the marble statues of Trajan and Hadrian were found in the temple.
At the entrance of the Nebuchadnezzar Palace hall, the guardians of the right-handed door, namely Lamussu. (Originals in the British Museum).
Mşatta Palace
The Umayyad Palace in Jordan, 22 km south of Amman, considered to have been built towards the middle of the 8th century. There are thick walls resembling the castle. Excavations have shown that the structure cannot be completed. The carved stone decorations of the palace, showing a very fine workmanship, are of great importance in the history of art.
Old National Gallery (Alte Nationalgalerie)
