Chernobyl review - A beautiful narration of a tragic story (+ 1 SBI share giveaway inside)

in blog •  6 years ago  (edited)

After waiting for 2 years for the last season of Game of Thrones what we fans received was a steaming pile of hot garbage. 7 seasons of character development went down in the drain and cool shit like Arya's face changing abilities and Bran's warg abilities were not utilised.

BUT!

After doing such a horrible job with GOT I didn't expect much from Chernobyl but boy oh boy it was a masterpiece.

Chernobyl is a story of pain and sacrifice. It is a story of arrogance and incompetence. But mainly it is a story of tragedy. It is the story of the most horrible nuclear disaster in human history. A lot of people lost their lived during the accident, a lot of people lost their lives trying to mitigate the accident from being more damaging and a lot of people suffered due to the after effects of radiation.

The writers did an amazing job to narrate such a tragic horror story. Everything from the blast to the courtroom trial was such a gripping and captivating experience. Everything that happened was portrayed so beautifully.

I am very amazed at the casting. The accuracy in the casting especially for the roles of Victor Bryukhanov, Anatoly Dyatlov and Nikolai Fomin is commendable as you can see below.

I don't know how accurate the series is, given the fact that a lot of what really happened was buried down by the soviet government. It is not possible to get it completely accurate but the main story was perfectly narrated.

Overall, the show did an excellent job in telling the story.

I won't be posting any spoilers. If you haven't watched it I highly recommend you do so.

Thank you so much for making it this far. I am giving away 1 SBI share to one lucky commenter. Just comment a number from 1 to 100 and I'll draw one of the numbers in a lottery fashion(haven't figured out how yet).

Loved Chernobyl. I still remember it being on the news when I was a kid and knowing even then the horror of it. Plus we studied books on nuclear fallout through the 80s.. wierd time. It captured our imagination. They did a great job of the show .. impressed. Binge watched!

It seems like we're binge buddies lol.

You'll love the ending episodes.
Best of luck for the giveaway.

I loved the whole miniseries! I remember when it happened. I was in college and I don't recall realizing the true potential of the situation.

The secrets of the state must be preserved

Lol, you would make a good party man, if they the USSR had survived. I was surprised to learn that Gorbachev believed that Chernobyl was a major factor in the fall of the USSR.

In my opinion, what happened at chernobyl showed the incompetency of management of the Soviet government at the time which I think might have one of the many reasons why the then USSR collapsed.

lucky number 7 :))

Hope its lucky enough. Thanks for participating! And thank you for the resteem!

I saw a documentary on YT about the people who never left the area, the wildlife, and the plant life. All seem to be flourishing. I do not know how that reconciles with the official story.

Even if the wildlife or plant life may seem to be flourishing, the whole exclusion zone(idk if that's the right term) is still irradiated and its not allowed to enter there.

Anyways, goodluck with the giveaway.

Thank you - If you look on YT, you will find people are living there now. Those who never left, and those who moved in or back since. It's a strange situation. No one bothers them and they are growing their own food.

That is certainly weird. I'll have to check it out.

A lot of people been there and check the radiation levels. Its sounds high but you will have to lick something like 50 times to have any symptoms. Its more about propaganda and fake news I reckon. More than possible that someone is making money that no one lives there or elites using this area for something :)

Calling the effects of nuclear radiation on biological systems a fake on a platform where a certain number of users is afraid of electromagnetic radiation. Wow.

I am affected by that too. I've born in Poland in 1984. Have you read what I wrote? Have you ever seen any vlogs from inside there recorded by Vloggers not media?
