I’ve known that the Steemit platform is profoundly flawed since I started posting here over a year ago.
I make really detailed, well considered art and i started to share it on the art section, only to find that very few people were interested in my content and the most upvoted and rewarded posts were not necessarily about worthy artwork.
More recently, as i’ve seen how Steemit is currently operating, my skepticism has grown, because although this platform purports to be “fair” and against suppression or censorship, with the blockchain backing up all of that, the “trending” and “recommended” sections are highly suspect.
I started to wonder: what does it take to be trending or recommended?
And now my questions are answered, and my skepticism is affirmed.
