Oh boy. I just cannot stop taking pictures of the rocks in my yard. It's to the point I am starting to fear losing followers They are just so beautiful to me! And covered in a sheet of ice?

So, this is the end result of my efforts on the Honda Civic. I tried to eye out the bend in the pipe, but that simply just was not going to cut it. Friend needed the car back, so I was forced to use the piece of flex pipe I had left over from the last time I was under here. In the mean time, the car is quiet, and I can improve on my welding skills, as well as figure out the proper angle of pipe that is required here. The last piece of flex pipe lasted about 6 months.

The salted roads in the winter absolutely rot out everything on the cars around here. With a quickness. Properly painted serfaced are an absolute must!

I hit the muffler with a coat of high temp spray paint.

The exhaust pipe I have been meaning to post the pictures of. First weld ever for me

As I had hoped I am not all that bad of a welder. I mean, yeah my "weldish" blob looks absolutely terrible, I don't even think it deserves to be called a weld. So weldish blob But it works :) My fatal mistakes were that I tried to eye out the bend in the pipe, but the pipe I produced just simply just was not going to cut it. An experienced welder also would have eyed and tacked it, and checked the angle. This way, if you are off, it can be easily adjusted. Hey, look at that, some experience talking. Of course, I remembered this high knowledge from watching welders weld once it was too late. I doubt I will forget next time, though. It usually takes me a mistake or three to learn my lesson.

This is a small 100-150 watt power inverter i salvaged out of a tire pump/jump pack deal. I have got to remember what all of the ten different wires go to. Switch to turn on and off. The power in, the power out plug. There is what appears to be a low voltage alarm on the board. I love the fact there is a built in automotive fuse in there as well. I paid attention when I removed it, so I should not have much trouble getting it going.

I intend on hooking this up to a solar panel and battery, and running something off of it. Not sure what yet. We will see!
