In the context of Nepal, New year celebrates during the end of Chaitra and first of Baishakh. Bisket Jatra is celebrated for 9 days 8 night from (27 Chaitra to 5 Baishakh). In Chaitra, Nepalese people enjoy by pulling the cart of vairab by keeping the front of batal statue in the cart. It was celebrated during the period of Lichhavi's and Malla's where they rule in Bhaktapur.
In 30th Chaitra in pottery square which is also named as Talako. There pull the lingo in hand. The place named is velukhel. In the night, velukhel their pull the lingo with hand. In the 1st Baishakh, the lingo of velukhel was pull down. In this way, the new year was celebrated in fourth of Baishakh, people celebrated Bhochayagu for all the god and goddess situated in Bhaktapur. This way Bisket Jatra was celebrated.
