UNITED STATES - The world-famous Coca-Cola is classified by many as the best soda, likewise, they agree that its taste is better in glass containers, but why?
The biochemist and founder of the "Science by Design" laboratory, Sara Risch, analyzed the factors affecting the taste of the beverage as exposure to heat, sunlight and storage time and concluded that the different soft drink packaging changes its flavor.
Here is what the study showed:
Plastic: A material with which the bottles are made called acetaldehyde is transferred to the soft drink, which makes its taste more sweet.
Can: Aluminum has a polymer that virtually absorbs the sugary taste of the drink.
Glass: The composition of this material is closest to something "neutral". For this reason, when we drink the drink in glass bottles, it is the closest thing to do with the original recipe and unaltered.
In conclusion, Coca-Cola knows best in glass containers.
Drinking too much Soda is bad for you so when you do drink it might as well drink it in a nice cold glass bottle. I think it makes a difference lol
