According to an investigation conducted by CoinTelegraph that evaluated the return on investment (ROI) of the top 10 encryption projects in 2017, it revealed that on average, each one showed figures of more than 136,000 percent. This information was shared by the analysts of the Crypto Finance Conference (CFC) on July 27.
Of all the encryption projects that raised a minimum of $ 1 million in 2017, IOTA (MIOTA) obtained a return of 614.934 percent for investors, sealing the first place in the ranking of researchers.
IOTA is a cryptography platform focused on Internet of Things (IoT) that uses the Tangle system. The protocol is different from blockchain, since it does not use "blocks" or mining, but is based on a directed acyclic graph (DAG), a topologically ordered system in which different types of transactions are executed in different chains in the network simultaneously.
CFC notes that the project is expected to "reach 75 billion connected devices by 2025."
In second place is Nxt, a decentralized ecosystem driven by blockchain that focuses on crowdfunding, governance, cloud services and the exchange of digital assets. The native investors in the NXT token obtained returns of more than 500,000 percent.
The open source blockchain platform Ethereum (ETH), co-founded by Vitalik Buterin, which has characterized the great ambition of its project as a "global computer", ranks third, after bringing 141,000 percent of profits in returns to its investors
Andrea-Franco Stöhr, co-founder and CEO of CFC, said about the findings of the investigation:
"No project among the top ten had an ROI of less than 6,000%, profits that are unfathomable for investors in many other markets. These figures demonstrate the great advantage and the myriad of real world applications for cryptocurrency. In addition, the extreme success of infrastructure projects suggests that investors should look for fundamental companies that will redefine the Internet in the next 10 to 15 years. "
