Yes I have S9+ and it is way better quality than 8, camera is amazing too. Def worth it!

Unfortunately, I can not say anything about the S8 because I have never used it. I've upgraded from S7 and can only say good ones so far but I am still in the test phase.

They actually very similar speed vise, camera little bit better tho and I got S9+ as it was an upgrade at no cost but yes its always exciting to have new phone :))
