There is a need for a policy...
It's my point of view that human rights are inherent and based on consensual interactions and negotiations between individuals and groups. To suggest that human rights come from a government (which has a monopoly on the use of force) doesn't sit right morally with me.
Furthermore, if rights come from government, then they can be taken away.
Anyway, I suspect we agree in regards to how people should be treated, but maybe two different philosophical ways of thinking to get there :)

Oh man! See, I love the Steemit community. Unlike other communities (like various subreddits for example) I've never had an experience where two people can't share different perspectives and then thank each other for the value they each provide.
