CHRIST HAS ACCOMPLISHED THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE LAW WAS GIVEN

1. Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.
2. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”
   Romans 10:1-4 (NKJV)

• One may be sincere and be sincerely wrong.

• Apostle Paul said in the above passage that his people, the Israelites, were zealous for God, they were sincere in serving God, wanting to please Him, but their approach was all wrong.

• There are many today who want to serve God, and some believe they are serving Him, they are sincere in their hearts, but their approach is wrong.

• The essence of various religions in the world today is because human beings know God exist and He is real, and they want to serve Him; but they are not ready to follow the pattern, procedure, He lays down for men to get to Him.

1. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
2. because what may BE KNOWN OF GOD IS MANIFEST [evident] in them, for God has shown it to them.
3. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
4. because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
   Romans 1:18-21 (NKJV)

• They believe the way of God, His commandment, is too stringent, very strict and must be obeyed; but they would not.

13.“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

1. Because NARROW is the GATE and DIFFICULT is the WAY which leads to LIFE, and there are FEW who FIND IT.”
   Matthew 7:13,14 (NKJV)

• Men devised their own ways of reaching God that is convenient for them, apart from the way that God has set for them (2 Timothy 4:3,4).

• Jesus is the ONLY WAY to God the Father, no other way!
  “Jesus said to him, “I am THE WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH Me.”
  John 14:6 (NKJV)
• Those who think the way of the cross, the narrow way, is too difficult or stringent, that God is not that hard; devised their own ways (Matthew 10:38,39; 16:24-26; Luke 9:23-25).

• Many are seeking to establish their own righteousness; they are not ready to submit to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:3).

• Whoever rejects Christ cannot have access to God—Jesus is the only access to God the Father (John 14:6; Romans 10:4).
• Whoever denies Jesus Christ, denies God!
  “Whoever denies the SON does NOT HAVE the FATHER either; he who ACKNOWLEDGES the SON has the FATHER also.”
  1 John 2:23 (NKJV)

• Some so-called Christians believe the way of the Bible is too difficult, thus they want to water 💧 the Word down. They want to give their own meaning to the Scriptures, interpret them wrongly—in a way that suits their desires.

1. “… as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
2. as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which UNTAUGHT and UNSTABLE PEOPLE TWIST to their own DESTRUCTION, as they do also the REST OF THE SCRIPTURES.”
   2 Peter 3:15,16 (NKJV)

• They want to listen to teachers who teach what they want, not want the Scriptures say.

1. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, THEY WILL HEAP UP FOR THEMSELVES TEACHERS.
2. and they will TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH and be turned aside to fables.”
   2 Timothy 4:3,4 (NKJV)

• What the Israelites were looking for through the law, the righteousness of God, is found in Christ Jesus through faith.

• They rejected Christ who is the Chief Corner Stone. He is the end of the law for righteousness (Psalm 118:22; Isaiah 28:16; 1 Peter 2:6; Romans 10:4).

• All you need is Jesus!

• Everything you are looking for is found in Christ Jesus.
• Christ is the fulfilment of the law, all who believe in Him are made right with God (Romans 10:4).
• Allow Jesus Christ to take over the lead of your life.

• You will not fail in Jesus’ name.
