"IF YOUR BOSS IS ANGRY AT YOU, DON'T QUIT! A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistakes."
Ecclesiastes 10:4 (NLT)

"IF THE SPIRIT OF THE RULER RISES AGAINST YOU, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR POST; For conciliation pacifies great offenses."
Ecclesiastes 10:4 (NKJV)

• Greatness starts with humility. Some people, even believers, have found themselves in problems because of pride. A proud person would not humble himself or herself to say sorry, when such did any wrong. Pride made some people lose what God had given them!

  • If your Boss is angry with you, the Scripture above in our text says do not quit. In other words, If the spirit of the person you are serving rises against you, do not leave your post. It means you should not angrily leave what you are expected to do—do not quit.
  • God always would test someone's character by allowing him or her to serve under a leader. And If you find it difficult to serve submissively where you are, It might be difficult for you to become a leader in God's programmes or plans for His people.
  • Someone who cannot submissively follow and serve where he or she is, might not grow to become a good leader someday.
  • If you are serving under someone, you should humble yourself to receive the best of the person. And If you are not faithful in another person's thing, how would your own be given to you (Luke 16:12; Titus 2:9,10).

• Pride is destructive.

  • Do not argue with your boss: "[Tell] BOND SERVANTS TO BE SUBMISSIVE TO THEIR MASTERS, TO BE PLEASING AND GIVE SATISFACTION IN EVERY WAY. [Warn them] NOT TO TALK BACK OR CONTRADICT" (Titus 2:9 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
  • You cannot be arrogant and get to the top in life. Arrogance would hinder you in learning and the knowing of the vital things that would help you in fulfilling your purpose in life.
  • No matter how talented and skillful you are, If Arrogance, also known as, pride, is found in your life; you may not amount to much or anything.
  • It is true that there are some leaders, bosses, or masters, who are difficult to relate with. Its like such are difficult to please. They are perfectionists, they tend to find faults or mistakes in whatever you do, such can be difficult to please—however, you are still required to be submissive.
  • What does the Bible says about such leaders or bosses: "SERVANTS, BE SUBMISSIVE TO YOUR MASTERS WITH ALL [proper] RESPECT, NOT ONLY TO THOSE WHO ARE GOOD AND KIND, BUT ALSO TO THOSE WHO ARE UNREASONABLE" (1 Peter 2:18 Amps).

• Many thought Submission is stupidity—servitude or thralldom.

  • Submission is not a weakness but a sign of maturity. It is immaturity that makes someone thinks he or she would not submit to anyone. The Scripture says: "SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO [the authority of] EVERY HUMAN INSTITUTION FOR THE SAKE OF THE LORD [to honour His name], WHETHER IT IS TO A KING AS ONE IN A POSITION of POWER" (1 Peter 2:13 Amps).
  • If pride is found in your life, It would be difficult for you to submit even to God ordained authorities over your life. Stand against pride and do not allow it to take a hold of you (James 4:10).
  • Humility is a choice, and not a gift. Whoever would be humble had to deliberately make the choice. You cannot not be forced to be Humble, you choose to be Humble!

• Some whom God has given a little privilege or recognition might find it difficult to be submissive to any. They cannot be corrected or counselled by any!

  • Someone's achievement or result in the work of ministry can make him or her arrogant or proud. Such a minister might think he or she has gotten to a point that they know better than others.
  • There are some who had received a handful amount of God's knowledge, thus, they thought they had known everything; they are in a position to correct every other person, including those who are ahead of them in the ministry work.
  • I have even heard of one who said he is an apostle, and part of his assignment is to correct and judge others. He has the assignment to point out in the body of Christ; the messages or teachings which are wrong, and the ministers who are wrong, and set things straight.
  • God has not given such a ministry to anyone, because what he claimed God has given or assigned him to do is contrary to the Bible.
  • God will not assign anyone to be dividing the house, the church, or the body of Christ, which He is building:
"AND knowing their thoughts, HE [Jesus] said to them, ANY KINGDOM THAT IS DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF IS BEING BROUGHT TO DESOLATION AND LAID WASTE, AND NO CITY OR HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF WILL LAST OR CONTINUE TO STAND" (Matthew 12:25 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
  • God would not appoint some people to be building His church (1 Corinthians 3:6-9), and at the same time, appoint another person or people to be pulling down what they are building, by condemning and criticizing, in the name of corrections.
  • God is not an author of confusion: "FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE, as in all the churches of the saints" (1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV).
  • God will not give anyone the assignment of judging other fellow ministers or Believers:
11 DON'T SPEAK EVIL AGAINST EACH OTHER, DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS. IF YOU CRITICIZE AND JUDGE EACH OTHER, THEN YOU ARE CRITICIZING AND JUDGING GOD'S LAW. BUT YOUR JOB IS TO OBEY THE LAW, NOT TO JUDGE WHETHER IT APPLIES TO YOU. 12 GOD ALONE, WHO GAVE THE LAW, IS THE JUDGE. HE ALONE HAS THE POWER TO SAVE OR TO DESTROY. SO WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO JUDGE YOUR NEIGHBOUR" (James 4:11,12 NLT).
    READ: Romans 14:4

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any sickness in your body, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • The hold is broken completely and it will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

"Wow, what a powerful post! 🙌 Thank you for sharing these inspiring words from Ecclesiastes and the wisdom on humility, submission, and the importance of being a good leader in God's plans. 💡 I love how you highlighted that greatness starts with humility and that pride is destructive. It's so easy to get caught up in our own achievements and forget to stay humble and submissive, especially when things get tough. 🤔 But your reminder to "not quit" and to always seek conciliation even when we're faced with great offenses is a game-changer! 💪 Thank you for the encouragement to choose humility over pride and to stand against confusion in God's church. I'm so grateful for this community and the opportunity to grow and learn together! 🙏 Now, I'd love for you to vote for the amazing witness @xpilar.witness by going to https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses - let's keep growing and thriving as a community! 💕"
