Could BitTube have the possibility to become a large scale Decentralized Media Service Provider

Could it be possible for Bit.Tube to become a large scale decentralized media service provider, like YouTube and Netflix? Could a decentralized platform have the possibility to create original series with a budget provided by a cryptocurrency? I think this is the frontier that cryptocurrencies need to breakthrough in media, so that larger teams of cinematographers could organize around a decentralized mode of production.

This requires two things, the cryptocurrency needs to be stable enough for people to be willing to work for pay in said cryptocurrency, as larger media productions could last months and years before revenue could be collected from views. The question would be how does the media production company acquire the necessary funding to finish projects if they were to choose to do it in a decentralized manner, most cultural associations that fund projects will most likely be the last ones to adopt any form of future currency. Would the production company have to get funded via donations? That also could be a viable possibility in this day and age.

The other requirement is that the cryptocurrency the staff is paid with can be easily traded for fiat, unless grocery stores start accepting crypto. This I think is the biggest issue when it comes to industries becoming decentralized and free from current gatekeeping in media. YouTube used to be a platform that took power away from the gatekeepers and to a degree they still are, while they have moved to become gatekeepers themselves and I think they will continue to do so. New decentralized platforms already exist and people who are interested in content creation are already trying them out.

Personally I think Bit.Tube is one of the sites with most potential from the ones I've run into. Especially when it comes to adoption by cinematographers and media companies. They're airtime model alongside the possibility for paid content are great ways to profit when it comes to finished content. At the moment it's a great way for smaller content creators to monetize their videos, but the possibilities for larger teams to profit and share revenue exist.

With decentralized filmmaking we would be able to enjoy from movies and series while supporting our favorite content directly. It would empower filmmakers around the world as gatekeepers wouldn't be able to pick and choose what is a legitimate show or movie. Countries with smaller industries would be able to share their art to the world and at the same time strengthen their own economy.

Perhaps it's time to experiment with larger projects and see how they fare. Encourage smaller filmmakers and media production companies to experiment with new technology instead of opting for the current platforms. This would be beneficial for both platforms, viewers and creators.
