Concepts of Human rights!

in blog •  6 years ago

The concept of human rights in the present world is widely known, but this concept is not new or recent. Human rights have been found among various religious beliefs that have flourished for centuries. Prophet Mohammad (S.), Jesus Christ, Gautam Buddha, etc. were great advocates of human rights. Even today, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela always prescribed and believe in the human rights.

Human Rights Concept

After World War-I in 1914, human rights were widely considered to be a matter of human society. There is a need for a policy around the world to overcome the chaos, famine, hunger, starvation and morale deprivation caused by the war, which can save the world from hunger and poverty. Later, some people in the world thought that they would protect the people from inhuman torture and ill-treatment of Naxal forces formed by Hitler. Human rights are established in the context of these. Basically, the meaning of human rights is freedom from hunger, right to vote, freedom of expression, freedom of education, guarantees of freedom of treatment, guarantees of all rights, guaranteed equal development of people of all religions, etc.

There is a need for a policy...

It's my point of view that human rights are inherent and based on consensual interactions and negotiations between individuals and groups. To suggest that human rights come from a government (which has a monopoly on the use of force) doesn't sit right morally with me.

Furthermore, if rights come from government, then they can be taken away.

Anyway, I suspect we agree in regards to how people should be treated, but maybe two different philosophical ways of thinking to get there :)

Oh man! See, I love the Steemit community. Unlike other communities (like various subreddits for example) I've never had an experience where two people can't share different perspectives and then thank each other for the value they each provide.
