Today I joined the Sndbox family which is full of creative and ambitious people and I am looking very much forward to work and collaborate with many members going forward.
The objective of this post is to introduce myself to Steemit/Sndbox users who don't know me yet. I joined Steemit last year in August and became really enthusiastic at STEEMFest 1 in Amsterdam. After that event it was clear to me that this community and platform is special and will have tremendous success in the near future.
What I am doing on Steemit
My main posts on Steemit are design related. I have a big passion for 3d design / 3d printing and created various STEEM logo inspired designs here on Steemit.
Most of these designs are also uploaded to Thingiverse.com and are available for free download.
Another hobby of mine is web design. I am not a professional but very motivated. My personal biggest accomplishment so far here is Steem-Buddy.com where Steemit users can enter their interest and the site will show all active Steemit users that share the same interest.
What are my goals going forward
When @voronoi and @hansikhouse introduced STEEM Park I knew that I want to get involved in the next big project and contribute to it. I had various ideas of designing and producing Wind Turbines with STEEM blades and place them across various places. Eventually I gave up the idea because I have no clue how to start and get in contact with the various people you need for such a big project.
That is where I hope the sndbox team can support and teach me how to move from small prints into useful bigger projects.
I am looking forward to keep you updated on any progress I make on bigger projects but until than I continue to design / print models and share them with you here on Steemit.

Hi @tarekadam, First off - Congrats on coming up such a great idea. Wind Turbines with STEEM blades is cool project. Also thanks for sharing steem-buddy site. I never knew it existed. Lastly, @sndbox team is working great specially for the users from Turkey. I had a discussion with them couple of weeks back. Also following them at discord.

Hi @tarekadam, I've been looking into @sndbox myself but don't fully understand the concept. There are some very informative posts, good quality and I follow to get to know some new interesting blogs, such as yours ;-). All my spare time goes to tinkering, making, designing, fooling around... I have been looking for a makers community myself here on steemit. @sndbox and @utopian by @elear come closest to that. I don't fully get @sndbox though. How can one be nominated? I would like to get involved but don't understand how.

Hi @jefpatat, I just started and can't nominate myself. The way I got nominated was to comment and show interest in other sndbox member posts. Someone will than eventually nominate you let you know the next steps. So I encourage you to follow sndbox members you like and let them know in the comments that you want to join. Hope that helps.

Yes that is correct, if you promote people you get 20USD discount and you can promote two people per month, so it could get down to 20US per month membership fee.
