From 2016 inside a pipeline resistance camp.

At this time, water is under attack across the country.

Our relationship with each other, and the understanding that each of us must drink water has brought into focus the fact that the oligarchs own the water, oil and land to such an extent that we the people have virtually no voice in the safety of our waters.

It took prayer camps and direct action groups, as well as a gathering of Nations never before seen on the planet to reclaim somewhat the rights of people to clean, safe water.
Still the DAPL builds, every day laying pipe and digging up Sacred Ground, walking on ancestors, and destroying Sundance grounds.

And this is one crossing, meanwhile other Rivers across the country go undefended, undermined and polluted, desecrated.
We know it cannot be sustained, we know it is immoral, this is why we stand, there is a shared understanding that our descendants are worthy of a future in which Rivers are safe and clean.
